Lol @ whoever said ramy was a science project.
He does look like an action figure.
His waist is so small, but unfortunately so are his hams.

He wont crack top 5, no symmetry.

Its a rumor from bb’ing.com Some guy who claims to be in the know and trains in the same region under a top coach there, has “inside” information on Ramy’s design. Do I buy it? Not totally, but the idea that a comic book artist drew Ramy’s proportions and then they made it happen is a cool thought.
I could also see that kind of thing happening where a very rich sponsor gets behind someone and “spares no expense” to see him succeed. In that particular region of the world, there is no shortage of particularly wealthy people.

This just sounds too farfetched. Especially considering this “investor” has very little to gain from bodybuilding compared to other sports.
National pride is my bet. We also don’t know if it is a “shady” form of sponsoring. There are a ton of American bodybuilders who are “sponsored” similarly and at least to people at our level they receive no formal benefit from someone else’s success… well benefit financially.
I don’t doubt someone rich is paying Ramy’s way. Unless he’s an heir to some big bank, who do you think is paying for all of what he is taking? We know folks in the US at least are tight on cash for it. Someone is forking the bill - and he isn’t working if he’s here training.
I must misunderstand the use of the word symmetry, he is quite symmetric (outside of the bit of gyno) in the sense that one side looks like the other, but if you mean somewhat disproportionate then you are correct.
Also I agree, he must have someone wealthy funding his efforts, he certainly wasn’t famous before.
He seems to have cleaned up his gyno, or at least the two most recent pictures don’t draw as much attention to it.
I’m calling it now, he will wear the hat to the Olympia. When it happens, remember you heard it here first folks!
Stuff is heating up for sure, I’m getting excited for showtime!

This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard

Left/Right is not the only symmetry in a human body. Front/Back, Top/Bottom… he’s definitely got some imbalance to his physique.
I am impressed by how tight his waist is though. I am just curious to see if it stays that way.

In some senses top/bottom symmetry would make him look like a playing card and front/back symmetry would give him a chest, face and quads on both the front and back of his body.
In the bodybuilding world, the term ‘symmetry’ has come to be used to refer to some vague and evolving sense of proportionality (consider upper vs lower body in the 70s vs now), which is apparently also okay for the term.
So in other words, c.m. your interpretation of symmetry is the correct one, but in bodybuilding it gets used to mean proportion.

The new face of BB
why not make him the face of it — the whole sport is a freak show anyways. it’s not a sport. lebron could have a tutu on and a bullwhip hanging out his ass on a Wednesday and still score 50 the next night, sore ass and all. that fashion/art/whatever shouldn’t make a fucking difference, i get why it does, we don’t need to turn this into a “face of the sport” speech…
this is not a sport because it is FIXED, predetermined 95%. if phil totally shits the bed then the powers that be have different WWE scripts written to determine how to pitch and sell and alternate story but overall it’s a fix.
let leather boy win if he looks the fucking best - whomever looks the best on the day should win…then it’s a sport, otherwise for 364 days a year it is sport but on the magic day in September it is a pageant.

It is, and will always be, a pageant.
