4/26/10 5/3/1 squat(3) cycle 9
today was a fucking abortion. I used the wrong weight on cleans, so what I thought was a new PR was actually pathetic. only got 7 on squat (330) and I needed 9. meh
instead of BBB, I did 2 sets of pull down abz and a tabata. they are done 20 sec work, 10 sec rest. using 95 lbs, I did deadlift, romanian deadlift, rows, cleans, front squats, push press, back squats, good mornings.
i did lots of real fast breathing for a long time after.
my work capacity sucks ass.
i am weak, and filled with self-hatred.
going to get up early and drag that bitch for half an hour.
fuck me harder
old lardass
“I am weak, and filled with self-hatred”? What ever happened to adapt and overcome? You did a lot of stuff and were sucking wind. Time to work on the endurance. Dump the self loathing and get to work. New diet sounds interesting but how will the low carbs affect your strength.
Oh, and call the sundress a kilt and it’s really manly.
Don’t be so hard on yourself man. This is supposed to be enjoyable. You are stronger then 99% of the population. Maybe put PRs on the back burner while you lose weight. Wendler says don’t try and lose weight and get stronger at the same time. Sorry to pull Wendler into this but its tough love.

If I call it a kilt, I don’t feel as pretty.

yeah, I know, but, geez…
I won’t need to reset my maxes for a couple months, because my reps are still fairly high.
The longer you go without resetting is a victory in it self.

after writing this did you go stand in front of a full length mirror, stash your junk behind your legs, recklessly put on some bright red lipstick and chant “I’d efff me!!!”
i have definitely, definitely never done that…
more than once…
maybe twice.

So you’re saying I’m not pretty in mine? Does it make me look fat?
Meat, you are letting all of the secrets out.
Singing show tunes in a sundress? Are you a republican senator? (sorry)
Good luck on the diet and conditioning. I have found alternating days of high intensity (sled, prowler, etc) with low (walking couple of miles) works wonders. Just a thought.
I know non-5-3-1’ers are all soft and tasty, but maybe you need to quit eating the new guys. That’s probably what’s impeding your training and diet more than anything.
geeze all this big strong fat guy on big strong fat guy hate.
I would reccomend looking at some of cosgroves stuff.
he has excellent complexes and bodyweight matrixes for conditioning

but not while singing “so pretty, I’m so pretty”
at least not often

I will definitely try this. do you do the high intensity stuff on lifting days, or non lifting days?

the complex/tabata thing I am doing is from cosgrove. I decided that on upper days I will do the full complex from 6 reps to 1, and on lower days do the exercises in that complex as a tabata (exercise 1 20 sec, rest 10 sec, ex 2 20 sec, rest 10 sec, etc.) I have only done this once (monday) and it didn’t kill me, although I did lots of fast breathing after. today is weighted dips, so I will see what the full complex tastes like afterwards. i have always done them stand-alone in the past, never as a finisher, so I should be quite whiney by the time I post my training this afternoon
THANKS FOR ALL THE LOVE GUYS.
i wish we could all wear sundresses and have a chorus line together

There is no room in this thread for that sort of serious common sense.
