Clean & Jerk:
-up to 90kg, 0,0,0
—got the last clean but it felt like a ton and was hard to squat.

After that 3rd one I said that’s enough I am going home, I will lift tomorrow.
-I should have gotten a full night’s sleep last night instead of staying up to 4:30am, and I needed to eat better while at work. Wednesday night (8/4/10) I slept more but not enough.
-One thing I noticed… on my way to the gym I felt like a million bucks, I felt strong and though I might hit a Back Squat PR so something… WRONG!.. I need to learn to listen to my body better, my mind was up in the clouds.


I need some advice from the group.
I put my hand threw a window (construction accident) at the start of summer and havent been able to Olift. However its finaly healed too the point i can start up again.

Was working towards the Garden state games before my injury, setting prs in my lifts and looking too bury my old total.
Now the comp is on the 15th and im planing to go as a spectator but im itching to step out and see what i can throw up after my hiatus

My question is would you do it? Come back with a comp just for the hell of it or wait and compete when you can pr.

Polska, that looks vicious. Definitely not what I expected when I strolled in here. Brutal luck, especially with the hernia on top of that.

As pertains to your question (even though it’s no longer relevant) I probably wouldn’t compete if I didn’t feel I could put up some decent numbers for myself, even if they weren’t PRs. I think I would also be inclined to let relatively serious injuries heal up first.

Thanks I weighed in at 83 on the dot this time because I actually got there on time and could eat , chi smashed his prs at the comp he did a 66?kg snatch 85kg clean and jerk

I think we have a punishing session on doubles and triples this weekend

*So I’m a little sick, which is why I’m a little behind on my lifting. Throats all screwed up. My strength was fine today, as evidenced by the back squats, but that time off made my form a little rusty so I missed what should have been 3 easy snatch reps at 90%. C&J form was also a bit iffy, but my 4th rep was absolutely perfect. Looking forward to tomorrow and Saturday’s lifting when I get to hit these weights again.

been a while since I posted here…

a small and moderately depressing update :

my gym’s summer hours (@ FDU) are horrid, and since I’ve been working 30-60hrs a week, I had to give up training at that gym and start lifting at home on my cheap walmart bars until the regular hours open back up in september.

And thus, I’ve been doing squats, pulls, presses and cardio at home. Still maintaing a crappy 205lb weight, and am not happy with it and I’m starting a hardcore keto diet again in the coming weeks, as soon as I prepare all my food schedules and extra cardio and/or fitness work and get my stock of HOT-ROX.

I also missed out on the Garden State Games (which I heard were fantastic this year, as usual) as I was on a business trip up in Burlington, MA working tax free holiday for Apple.

How has everyone been around here?
