I load a weight in the power rack. I get in to the Jerk receive position and I press the weight out for a few seconds. let it down and go again. I use to do these years and years ago. Giving it a try on account of an old skool lifter.
Neospartan, nice lifts mate, very smooth off the floor, solid Jerks. Good height on the bar, just need to attack the 85 more with punching your arms to lock it out.

I have been working on flexibility and hook grip a lot. I have been training near daily lately. My strength is down quite a bit.
I finally managed a proper clean grip position. I can catch it well enough so I can put it down. I can only do one front squat at a time mostly. i did 60kg x 3.
Front squat 1 single with 80kg
few sets of 1 with 60kg/
Power cleans 70 kg x singles
80kg x a few singles
85 kg x a few singles.
missed 87kg keeps hitting my sternum.
grip is not really a problem
Hook grip deadlifts.
70, 110 x 2 , 140 x 2 150 x2 160 x1 180kg miss couldn’t budge it. Managed 170kg ok a few days ago.
Should I still keep doing the much heavier pulls with straps to maintain my strength.
Snatch - 95% x 1 - 215 lbs… EASY! Bar hit right knee a tad bit in first pull but still made it easy! I think I’m ready for a 235 lb. snatch.
C&J - 95% x 1 - 250 lbs… EASY! Trying to be more aggressive on my jerk and it’s working. Jerk was easy. Just need to get my front squat strength up (max is 295ish). I’m ready for 275 lbs.

Toughest front squat session yet. Took a good 7minutes inbetween each set, each set was gut busting, mentally tough but I ploughed on, got 5sets out of it, the 6th set I got one rep. I should NEVER fail getting up out of a 150kg clean if I catch it in any shape or form

Just a shitty day today. Snatch was fine, C&J felt hard, I planned to do 5 sets for back squat but just did 1 set. And for some reason my traps are ridiculously sore, probably DOMS from the max attempts on Sunday (for some reason it’s affecting me now). It hurt to put 135 lbs on my back. Skipped upper body stuff. Tomorrow’s another day.
