Honestly I have no problem with these results. I was watching the pre-judging and I thought Branch looked ridiculously well. His conditioning was fucking amazing. I am really happy for him.

branch was DRy, hard, nailed it, but nailing it and kai and phil flopping a bit i can see that jump to 3rd, but shit dexter could have won…he did get fucked but i’m happy for branch.
jay did look great, he’s a big dude and wasn’t blocky or holding water this year. the hairdo makes him less blocky.

My deepest fiber is filled with disappointment with Dex getting that low of a placement. That being said…
I think Branch started kicking butt yesterday…when he was the 1st competitor called out and he walked into the light of the stage. Right there, messed up structure and all, the judges and the viewers witnessed a man who was the definition of CONDITION.
Not since Yates have I seen thinner or dryer skin…or the DENSITY of muscle as I had seen on Branch at that time.
Branch was simply the most conditioned, dense, and dry athlete on that stage yesterday during the prejudging…and that is where I think he got most of his points.
I might be with many of you who think his structure is just messed up when compared to the likes of Dexter, Heath, or Martinez…but there is a sense of poetic justice for people who are not gifted with “the look” kicking the ass of those that do with pure, plain, hard work.
Congratulations Branch…I disgruntley say, you did deserve it.
I think ditching the Jay Cutler “mop” and opting for the new hairdo won it for him lol. Definitely deserved it this year.
