I was thinking the same thing.
I personally don’t think the pics of Cutler are really doing him justice for how he looked on the webcast.

Also I think Branch Warren is really overlooked for some reason.
His legs are the bomb and the rest of him is not bad either.
Wow, what a tough show. Although many of the “deep field” didn’t come in 100%, the top 5 or so will be tough.
After watching the webcast, heres my prejudging top 6 (keep in mind that this year the prjudging is only 50% of the total score). These are my predictions based on the callouts and what I thought.
1- Jay, Best condition we’ve seen from him in years and hes just simply the biggest fuckin guy on stage. You may not like his structure, but theres nothing you can do when hes as lean (maybe) and about 20lbs heavier than the compition.
2/3- Dex/Kai, I’d like to put Kai here, because if you’re going for scoring the atheletes on their size and freakiness, Kai should be placed second above dexter. However, Kai was not 100% IMO and Dexter may have been at his best ever. He had the size from last year but was even more sliced up.
4/5- Phil/Branch, again if this is being judged as the year of the “mass monsters”, branch should squeeze in here. Of course, Phil is Phil. He keeps adding some size (although, it didn’t appear to be much from last year) and he stays razor sharp. When Phil stands next to these other guys, his narrowness really stands out.
6- Ronnie Rockel, This was Vic’s spot to take, but I honestly think Rockel may edge him out here. Vic just didn’t bring it again, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was given 6th anyway.

I agree completely here. When I saw the webcast I was very impressed by Jay’s appearance. When he stomped the floor and his leg just exploded I couldn’t help but laugh out loud, it looked sick. Then later when I saw the photos I had to load up the webcast again to make sure I hadn’t dreamt it, just wasn’t the same.

Kai’s back is arguably better than colemans was a few years ago.

Because he’s been a dissapointment the last few years and now he’s finally showing that he can still live up to his potential. I guess that creates a certain wow factor. Exaggerations aside though, he is one of the best in the show this year no doubt, but there are still four potential winners in my book. Very close, very exciting. 
Edit: Kai’s back is damn good and he’s got the total package with the legs and glutes to match it. His torso is a little too short for my liking though and that ruins it a little for me, I think it looks a bit weird. Meh, personal preference I guess…
kai got harder better as it progressed, dex was same dex but sharp as nails very good, jay was re-invented so to speak however i think a lot of it has to do w/ how we are getting use to jay looking, he was very well conditioned this year.
if kai began the night as hard as he was at the end of the night there might not be room for discussion.
dorian,flex, shawn have dex1, kai2, jay3 w/ some putting branch ahead of phil, and shawn putting phil ahead of jay. remembering their part of a gravy train though.
i see it as jay vs kai apple vs apple, w/dex locked at three…we’ll see how it turns out. jay does look much improved, dex is always amazing dex, and kai is the freaky future which could be now. phil did seem to not evolve from last year too much, his back was improved though, and branch was freaky.
The howls are getting louder and louder!

I know he is not a favorite to win and I agree but I really really like Branch Warren.

The way his chest muscles are shaped and the vascularity on them is sheer artistic perfection.

Kai’s legs looked smaller and less defined than the Aus Pro show. I wonder what he did different…

I don’t know if I’m alone on this one or not, but is anyone else bored with Dex’s physique? It just doesn’t excite me like Jay’s or Phil’s do (no homo).
I really don’t see why everyone is so impressed by Jay, sure he looks great but I still have Dex as taking the number 1 slot.
This is my Top five for right now, unless anything changes drastically by tonight i think this is how it’s going to end up.

4.Branch
5.Phil
I have The X man, and Ronnie going at it for 6th and Victor coming in somewhere around 7th or 8th

We are on a “supposedly” BODYBUILDING website it is OK to talk about GUYS physiques without adding “no homo” to every comment, i thought that crap had passed.
And how can you be “bored” of someones physique ? He came in BIGGER and MORE peeled than last year… what do you want him to do wear a top hat on his penis saying “no homo”

Because for ssoooo long, everyone has said if Jay ever brought in his waist he would look unreal… he never did.
Now he FINALLY has done it, why it is generating so much talk.
The only people who are saying Jay doesn’t look that great are the ones who didn’t watch the live webcast. He looked insane! Especially compared to his last few showings.
I really wasn’t that impressed with kai, I would put branch over him after the prejudging. I definitely think those two will be battling it out for 4th.
Phil looked great but he doesn’t have the crazy mass of Jay or the proportions and conditioning and width/taper of dex so I have to give him third.
Top 2 is definitely Jay and Dex, but I can’t pick who will win at this point.
Dex, Jay, Ronny Rockel, and Branch really impressed me after watching the prejudging.
People, please stop bitching about the politics and how only a weider sponsored athlete can win, it get’s old and frankly is pretty disrespectful to the competitors.
Most of the people here wouldn’t have given a shit about Kai if he wasn’t in a bunch of training videos. Notice Dex and Jay have been counted out from the beginning because they haven’t had any training videos up and pretty much came into this competition as “sleepers”.
The bandwagon stuff is a little tiresome.
