So, here I am. Again.
I was training and eating very well until mid November 2020, when I got (probably due to my job - I am a nurse) the Covid-19 infection. It was a complete disaster; for more than a month, I didn’t train or trained in a less than optimal way, due to weakness and other health related issues. Nutrition, for the first time since 2013-2014 was total wrong, depression brought me and my wife to eat total crap all day. Being closed in our house for so long made Us almost going mad. I’ve reached, in my “before” pic, the weight of 91.3 kgs, one of the heaviest I’ve ever been. My legs literally vanished and I developed a beer belly. I was again into my skinny fat nightmare.
In January, after finally beating the infection, me and my wife started to workout seriously again. And, of course, our nutrition were again on point.
I literally ate nothing but rice and chicken for the last 5 months.
Training wise, I came back to the basics; a full body, 3 days a week with heavy weights and mid volume. Running 30 mins on off days.
I lost exactly 10 kgs. My weight in my after pic is 81.2.
Now my goal is to get bigger without adding too much fat on my frame, so I switched back to Wendler’s BBB challenge, while keeping some good cardio (bike rides).
Again, for the 4th year, I’ve tried my best for this challenge.
OK here is my Fatsique update, these will be my transformation end pics too. Weight is 86kg. I have ended up pretty much where I began but maybe with a little bit of recomp. But I said I would start this so I am finishing it too. I am happy with where I am at and as the main goal is strength for powerlifting as long as I keep getting stronger then it’s all good. @Chris_Colucci
@ChongLordUno Much appreciated dude. You’ve been a fantastic motivator throughout. It’s been awesome to see your own training taking off.
@kleinhound Thanks dude! Been good having you alongside on the gaintrain. It can’t all be weightloss for the transformation.
This has been a great experience in all. Really helped me realize my goals of getting back to eating the way I need to. I had restricted myself for too long. Definitely see some thickening up and feeling strong again.
Na. Ive switched gears and back to gaining. Hired a coach and he’s handling all the food and gym stuff. If I’ve learned anything it’s that I don’t think I’m qualified to do it all on my own currently lol gonna take this time to learn, grow, and work towards my goals.
