Yeah, His Abs, obliques, pecs, traps, lats, biceps, triceps, fore-arms, and delts are popping. But I bet he has chicken legs…
@T3hPwnisher don’t post a leg shot, just let me have this.

@jdm135 They say you are what you eat…which makes me now think I should get a COVID test…
@theinneroh Man, between batwings and chicken legs we’ve got quite the spread, haha.
Speaking of spreads, this for breakfast (hidden under that cheese is 1/3 of an avocado and some grassfed butter)
Means this for the afternoon
It’s like the rebounding of the bar off the floor is an inconvenience that he doesn’t have time for.
I have run twice since June, both were in the first couple weeks of January when I ran a 2 mile loop in 16:15 and 16:11.
Just hit that loop in 14:34. Not entirely sure how my fitness improved (maybe just because there’s no snow on the sidewalk) but y’all are in trouble if the weather stays nice
You still owe me 1 mile of walking lunges ![]()

Dude, that’s a pretty good speed. And you have barely run all year?
I did a fair bit of jogging but I’m opting for more enjoyable options lately. KB swings for example. Or this morning I did the stationary bike while whale-watching a Netflix doc.
I just ordered Freshly. Now my meals will taste as good as others. And I’ll get real veggies 2X a day. This second half of the challenge will be interesting for me.
I’m also doing it so that I can feed my kids things other than their preferred food. There will be no excuses for me not to force better food options on them.
That’s a really good idea. My kids (some of them) are so picky it’s bad… but to keep them from being hungry I give them what I know they’ll eat. And I don’t eat enough vegetables either.
Can you update on the economics of the subscription once you have a good feel for it?
I’ve tried freshly back when it was $12 a meal. Delicious but Too expensive. They got the pricing down to 8.49, but only if you order 12. The meals are good for 4-5 days. I’d error at 4. So the gotcha is that you need to be feeding 2 or 3 people. You need to eat 3 a day. If you miss eating the meals and they go bad, then you are wasting money.
I competed in distance running before taking up lifting so, thankfully, I tolerate it pretty well.
Stationary bike with YouTube going has worked pretty well too, I can get behind that. Not so sure about kbell swings
If they get hungry enough, they’ll eat the vegetables. Compromise also works. My son hates green things so he has to eat some before he gets dessert (which is homemade banana bread, grapes, or a small piece of candy). It’s working.
My kids don’t eat veggies, but I don’t either, so I don’t try to make them. What specifically are you wanting them to eat veggies for?
LOL I was under the impression that it’s generally agreed, regular consumption of veggies (in general) is good for your health. I’m not a nutritionist but I imagine it’s better to eat salmon and asparagus rather than DiGiorno 3 nights a week, if you had to pick one or the other ![]()
the fiber in the veggies help me go number 2
Kinda depends on the circumstance. If you are feeding them a lot of carbs, the fiber can blunt the glucose. However, many veggies cause problems for many people. It’s not IMO a blanket statement that they are healthy and people should eat X amount a day. Veggies or digiorno aren’t the only food categories either. My kids mainly eat grassfed beef, eggs from our chickens, fruit, and some dairy (yogurt and cheese). But I also have them eating heart, liver, and kidney with their beef.
I’m not trying to demonize anything, if it works for you, veggie away, but all veggies as a great food everyone needs to eat is a myth.
Living off pizza, chicken nuggets, and PBJ can’t be good for long term health. They do eat apples, bananas are hit and miss.
I don’t force too many vegetables on them as I hated them too as a kid. But I feel they need nutrients.
My poops have been the best ever in my life in the last year where I’ve eating almost 0 fiber. Fiber can go both ways I think causing and relieving problems. There are studies showing a 100% cure rate with symptoms of IBS from going 0 fiber. It’s anecdotal, but if you have pooping problems, more fiber isn’t always the answer.
Fiber + micros => don’t really need veggies
Maybe a dumb idea, but I’d personally just not give them these things then.
Last post, because I’ve de-railed this thread enough, but I largely agree. However, I don’t think fiber is necessary for health. One of the things being mostly carnivore for the past year has taught me is that fiber isn’t great for me. My weight loss in the thread has mostly been me just getting more strict about carnivore. I’d just encourage people not to go with blanket nutrition advice and see what works for them.
