I myself can attest that even without the PB I put on two pounds of muscle after yesterday’s birthday party with the Italian in-laws.

Y’all can relax. I found around 1.5 pounds of Christmas Reese’s peanut butter cups that my nephew was going to throw away. I couldn’t bear the waste, so I saved and ate 'em in three sittings.

As an aside, I’ve been binging on Marriage at first sight Australia lately ![]()
If I had my goals figured out a bit better I’d be further along, but yeah, I am.
Lifting without hurting my elbow? Check.
Jogging more than I ever have in my life? Check. (That doesn’t take much!)
Eating low carb? Well, eh, lower than I ever have before, but, this is where priorities in life come in to play. I’m a father of several, busy job, responsibility, etc. The discomfort required to reach a physique goal isn’t good for my other priorities. Eating rolls with dinner is way better for my family, know what I mean?
But, progress nonetheless.
Oh, and, the old “should I try to gain muscle or lose fat?” question - I’ve let my injured elbow convince me to focus on losing, but that may or may not have been the right choice given where I am now weak-wise and bodyfat-wise.

You just tick what sort of equipment you have it it’ll randomly generate you a crossfit style workout. You can just keep hitting refresh until you find one that suits. Handy

First photo update for myself as I’m now 1 month into proper training (my first two weeks were a write off).
Down about 10 lbs overall so not hugely noticeable but I wanted to start a collage of progress photos to look back on when I win this thing ![]()

Thanks man, I appreciate the support. Perhaps I’m a bit blinded by how incremental the changes have been over 4-6 weeks but definitely happy with progress so far.
Next step is to get sub-200 lbs (5lbs away from this) with my 3 month goal to be around 185-190lbs so I can reassess & plan for the final 2 months.
