Depends on how much you paid for the “Delmonico” name ![]()
I’ve heard it referred to as a cup of “whybother”.
Isn’t that the routine @T3hPwnisher likes so much? But the version for people who like discomfort less.
you guys are crazy with caffiene. 1 cup of strong decaf is sometimes too much for me ![]()
Love the taste though
Thank you for the tip man, I believe I have tried the Walmart stuff before and it was good, never realized it was that much less expensive tho, I’ll have to head there this weekend. Honestly I’m waiting for my cow guy to finally come through. All grass fed grain finished, so I guess a little healthier than full grain stuff. He lives in another state and I’m kind of at the mercy of when he feels like butchering and either shipping or meeting up.
Actually they were $1 per pound cheaper than the ribeye. Factor in less loss due to bone and I made out just fine. Haha plus, we pan sear through the winter so anything with a bone is out. We’ve done strip loins before but there’s a 1" strip of fat (not the tasty kind, but the stringy and gross kind) you have to cut off so pound-for-pound the delmonico was the winner.
maybe he can come with a whole new program and make some money!
I believe I’d actually pay for these
Haha! I like Bud Light too… what now??
Just for clarity, pretty much all cows are raised on grass and then finished on grain, even the cheap tubs of ground at places like Walmart.
I’m assuming the cows I buy from the farm vs store are fed (edit:grass (lol gotta get off t nation at work)) for a much longer time than the ones I buy from the store just judging by the amount and color of the fat. Store bought cuts have a way higher fat content and the fat is pretty white (not that I don’t like it, honestly it tastes better) where the farm raised stuff has much less fat and is much more yellowed. Farm raised stuff also seems to seep a LOT more hemoglobin when cooked, which I like.
I’m sorry. I didn’t realize you were that far gone. RIP lil taste buds ![]()

What’s that supposed to mean??
I was just thinking cuz most things like this require you to be at least 18 but i guess not
I was joking because a lot of us are slightly past 20
Edit: I will add I’m not a huge fan of teenagers putting pics of themselves for something like this on the internet (although at least you keep your face out). It is kind of silly even for us slightly past our 20s, and I think there’s real danger of it taking on too much importance and interfering with your young life/ headspace. You’re a jacked young man, just keep doing what you’re doing and try to have some fun along the way; you’ve absolutely no need to “transform”.
I recognize it’s not my place to talk anyone out of doing something they want to do, and you certainly weren’t asking my advice so I can’t be upset if you ignore it, but I did feel compelled to offer that $0.02.
In a pinch you can make nice salad shavings of parmesan with a potato peeler.
Not quite! $6/lb and 2lbs a day. $12 a day for meat and then rice and veggies are cheap.
I’ve been picking up sirloins. Occasionally, I’ll go with Tri-Tip or Ribeye.
It means he needs to get off my lawn.
On the beef discussion, I have a freezer full of pied montese steaks, roasts and sausage that I am incredibly excited to implement in the hopefully near future. Gotta eat the cows lacking myostatin if you wanna get the most gains possible.
On that note, finished yesterday with a 2 a day, hitting the Grace WOD with an axle, and got up at 0340 this morning to smash a brutal EMOM front squat/SSB squat workout.
That’d be a neat trick
It already is one!
