I too smash energy drinks and have no issues sleeping unless I go WAY overboard.
I wish I could share in all of your superb caffeine tolerances. I love coffee. Being “friendly” with a merchant isn’t anything special, but I’m genuinely friendly with the people that run the local roastery. My tolerance has me essentially stop my intake at lunch. And cap it at two cups. Coffee cups. So about 2.5 dl.
This is if I want to fall asleep earlier than 2-5am.
lol, you must be a millionaire. Half of my decision to cut back was due to the fact that right now a usda ribeye (not even choice cut) can get up to $30 per steak and strips are roughly $30 for a 3 lb pack… I can get 3lb of organic boneless skinless chicken breast for half the cost of that.
I wait until beef goes on a price reduction for quick sale or else I’d be living in my work van and have one pair of shoes. I have a feeling I’ll get sick of all the chicken very, very soon though. I don’t seem to last long eating it regularly.
I’ve always assumed you just use these units to fry everyones brains, but is that a common unit in Sweden?

I, too sleep better with moderate caffeine. High just affects sleep quality, but low will give me night terrors for some awful reason. Cutting down caffeine for my blood pressure has been a literal nightmare.
Got about a 1.75 pound delmonico steak defrosting right now for my wife and I’s dinner tonight. Cast iron skillet pan sear in garlic and butter and we’re off to food porn heaven.
He’s just trying to help us burn calories.
Haha, have I written about 2.5 dl in the past? No, it’s not a common unit of measurement. Deciliter is. Finding a cup measure isn’t exactly hard. AFAIK, 1 US cup equates to 2.4 dl.
My nan’s coffee cups, that I have inherited, measure out to 1.25 dl pretty much precisely. As I’m quite comfortable at using a scale, I tend to measure out my water and grams of coffee. That way, I get excellent results all the time and there is very little overhead now as I can do it without being slowed down compared to just winging it.
At the roastery I mentioned though they take it to a different level, I measure to the gram, they measure to the tenths of a gram and they know how much water gets caught left behind on their different cups when you pour something in or out.

Speaking of that yummy cheese… I go through a lot of fresh blocks of parm. I have 3 styles of graters lol. My latest purchase was a greater with big giant holes. I used it for dinner last night for a side salad (Caesar). I grated massive pieces of parm and it was amazing!!!

This wasn’t my experience at all, but I know there’s a couple dozen different drugs and there’s other variables (i.e. I also stopped eating double cheeseburgers daily…).
Yup - horrible. I started making my coffee really week, so my brain still thinks I’m getting in a big quantity, but I’m minimizing the actual caffeine intake; plus it naturally spaces it out so it keeps the withdrawals away a bit.
Simply outstanding.

I eat 1 to 2 pounds of ribeye a day. Walmart ribeye is 9.50 a pound and tasty. They even have grass finished for like 12 bucks a pound but it’s hard to find and not as tasty.
Local butcher freezer-wraps them for you when they cut them (we get a whole loin at a time for about $8 per pound). My cousin raises beef as well and his are even cheaper but he’s been out for awhile. Gonna have to buy another 1/4 cow soon.

Thanks! The quality of life change after coming off has been huge. So much energy.
I started on Lisinopril but was miserable and told my doc I’d rather stroke out than live 1/4 of a life, so switched to Losartan. Got better but would say I was still only at 75% of previous function.
I didn’t even really have withdrawals, I just started getting absolutely terrifying nightmares several times a night. Like walking through Chernobyl’s exclusion zone by myself at night with a flashlight.
