Official 2021 T-ransformation Announcement Thread

I honestly don’t know. Healthcare has been a nightmare.

I am guessing they are a little busy with other things right now

Less that, more bureaucracy and poor communication. I may already be cleared and simply not know it.

I’m actually “in” this year too, but not to win it or anything. Just want a little accountability and something to shoot for.

These were taken on Dec 31

Let’s go, I’m in !

Height : 181cm
Weight : 87.8kg
Waist : 91cm

Goal :
Improve my body composition, I would like to go down to 80-82kg
But the most important thing will be to be able to train regularly, hoping that my health will leave me alone this year!

If I was trying to lose fat, I definitely would. Might have some yerba mate or coffee and then head out the door.

Even before I made it a habit, I can’t remember a time where breakfast (regardless of macro make-up) doesn’t make me slow down a tad. Thus, for me, fasted morning LISS better than the alternative (non-fasted).

I rarely find myself doing it in winter months, presumably by the added friction it adds to being suitably dressed to survive outdoors. The summer months are easier when enough clothing to not be indecently exposing oneself is all that is required. Getting dressed in all the necessary layers, lacing them heavy-duty boots, all adds up against exercising that decision — not that I’m unwilling to put in the effort but the time-cost of getting that dressed, coming back, eating, dressed again and getting to work is an equation that has to be managed and juxtaposed against the benefits of sleep. My fallback is bodyweight exercise at home. Nothing that taps into the muscles, just a quick yoga flow to run a light sweat and then eat breakfast.

I’d love to find mountaineering hiking partners that are the same as me, engine is all systems-go before breakfast. I’m sure I could beat all my current ascent times by a significant margin by just packing up the tent and start walking until a speed-decrease and then have some breakfast.

You’re obviously more educated on the matter than I am but everything I’ve learned about habit-forming suggests this is an excellent strategy to employ!

I bought an egg cooker on Amazon for $16. It boils up to 6 eggs, or cooks a 2-egg “omelette” very fast and easy. @T3hPwnisher it may be tastier than microwave cooking, since it steams them, but I’ve never tried your way.

I use an instant pot for hard boiled eggs…but I also just plain don’t like hard boiled eggs, haha. They’re good warm, but when I make them in batches and eat them cold I just choke them down. That said, when I switched from regular eggs to cage free organic, I noticed that the hardboiled eggs tasted better.

EDIT While I am making comments, I just want to note that I got up at 0315, crushed a bench workout, and I’ve got 2 keto waffles, an egg white and protein shake with “amazing grass” greens supplement, fat free skyr mixed with peanut flour, 300g of greek yogurt, a 16oz of green tea and an energy drink in me, and it’s 0611 my time. I’ve got a headstart on a lotta you this morning: better step up.

Your “amazing grass” might be different than ours…

I just mean nowhere but this site would someone say “I was up at 3am with some amazing grass” and we’d think “wow, he’s killing it;” everywhere else we’d think “me too - let’s get some Taco Bell”.

It’s even funnier that the logical response was for you to share the supplement brand

There is a reason I wrote the words “greens supplement” rather than just “amazing grass”

Fair enough. As I typed this out, I pondered “do people even still say ‘grass’?”

On a serious note, I have to ask: do you have any cardiac concerns with the energy drinks? I am extraordinarily sensitive to them, more so than just equivalent caffeine.

Edit to add: blood pressure and resting heart rate are my personal markers. I don’t have a large enough sample of heart attacks under my belt to compare severity or frequency.

None. My caffeine tolerance is stupid high. I pretty much just drink them for the flavor at this point. I had actually slashed my caffeine intake substantially in an effort to improve sleep, but have since observed I’ve been sleeping BETTER once I stopped doing that, so that’s probably weird. My resting heart rate remains in the high 40s/low 50s, so things seem to bode well. Although I DO make sure to drink the energy drinks AFTER training rather than before.

That’s some high quality trash talkin!
I woke up at 5:20, a pound lighter than yesterday. One cup of coffee with a tsp of coconut oil, 2 eggs with a bit of salsa.
Deadlifted 10lb more than last time, pressed 5lb more than last time. Now off to work and ready for whatever the day brings.

Should add that my top set of DL and press is lighter than your warmup lol. But it sounds good!

Well that’s awesome then. My wife is like you. She drinks gallons of caffeine, has tried cutting it, and noticed no difference in blood pressure (hers is actually borderline low), heart rate or sleep.

Our kids will combine our genetics to land at a normal person

I forgot to trash talk.

I was up at 5, after sleeping like a damn boss, and knocked out a chest and shoulders workout that would make lesser men, by which I mean all other men, wash away their vomit with their tears.

As I am so great, I recorded it all for you to worship me on YouTube. My cell phone is in the shop, though, so I will obviously lose the footage before I’m able to upload.

My longstanding breakfast is egg whites, turkey sausage, and mushrooms and grits… because that’s what champions eat.
