Official 2020 T-ransformation Announcement Thread

Fuck it, I’m cashing out. Unfortunately my garage mirror had a… completely lifting unrelated accident, so the new pics are in better lighting. Also… like… not much change.

New pics taken today:

Still a thicc boi, didnt lose any fat. Legs are still skinny (not for lack of effort) …back looks pretty wide though. +1 flex pic, because.

Did hit 2 new PR’s

Squat: 440x1 (20lbs up, very unplanned, didnt record)
Bench: 375x1 (10lbs up, recorded, but Tnation wont support the video type.)

Can only be better next year.

I’ll get some pics up soon, Sunday will be the end of 30 days of murph and I’m probably looking as good as I’ve ever looked, especially being lean at 82kg

You’re a mad man

Looking forward to seeing the results brother

I’m still in and my transformation is the best I’ve personally done. I was hitting it pretty hard (perhaps too hard since i kept hurting myself) before all this mess started. I still took my cruise towards the end of February before it really started hitting the fan. Put on about 8 vacation pounds but lost most of those recently. I’ve done a few home workouts but nothing much. I’ve done a ton of landscaping at the house and lately been trying to figure out how to hit a golf ball straight. Also been drinking a metric f*ck ton through quarantine. I guess i should start working out again before the after pic.

Okay, so I am throwing in the towel about a week early. My miracle plan of stopping eating potato chips two weeks ago has lead me to put on 1.5 kilo or something absurd like that, so no point in keeping it up any longer.

I probably realized too late that this is in the “bigger stronger” forum. I am smaller and weaker. Probably a bit leaner, though. All things considered, with Covid and a terrible home gym, I am actually okay with where I am. I didn’t have any real goals anyway, and accomplished nothing of significance along the way.

My photos here are not really apples to apples with my original. I can’t possibly duplicate the lighting, and I moved the mirror as well. First one is probably the best comparison, second one is with a bit of extra flex. I know how to flex about as well as I know how to pilot a rocket, so that’s as good as it gets. Back shot thrown in as well, because why not.

Oops, links not working. I cannot get instagram to link, no idea what is going on.

Oh well, got one in there the old fashioned way. Screw it, let’s just leave it at that for now.

Went for a 2 mile run last week and my quads already shrank, RIP. 181lbs to 171lbs (2-3lbs lighter than last year). Still have a ways to go, will maintain for a bit then diet again in 2ish months.

Excuse the lighting, can’t go to my gym for the same mirror.

Always take these numbers with a grain of salt but at least it’s going down, heading for 10ish% in Oct/Nov. IMG_20200523_130704

As long as the BF estimate is true in relation to itself it’s useful, no? I. e. regardless of whatever 16.0 really maps against, and 13.7 really maps against it doesn’t even matter if it’s 2.3% of actual body fat you’ve lost. As long as it never shows a lower number unless you’ve actually gotten leaner it’s a useful datapoint to track.

True to an extent, but the problem with bioimpedence devices is they have huge fluctuations based on your hydration, water retention and glycogen levels.

All said @loganator is clearly a lot leaner.

That was my exact thought, I think it underestimated %bf in the before pick before I was eating a ton of carbs, would guess I was closer to 20% then.

I went through calipers, bioelectric impedance, and hydrodensitometry for an exercise phys class. For some people it varied a lot but all 3 measurements were within half a % for me. That was 30lbs ago so not sure if impedance is still that accurate for me.

Final murph done.
Final progress pic to follow

Actually I’m using my most recent pic from my log, from 10 days ago
It’s probably the best I’ve looked maybe ever. I’m a bit bloated today and I’m not too sure why
Anywhoo
82kg on the button when I took this.

Starting tonight I’ll be upping my carbs. Last time I did the Tnation challenge and then bumped carbs I rebounded from 76ish to 83 and have sat around 81-83 lean ever since…hoping for a similar effect, maybe to around 85 would be nice

Here’s my final pic:

Overall, I’m happy with my progress. Definitely better than I thought with all the limitations I had these months. Diet compliance alone can do wonders.

Tomorrow I’ll get back into the gym. It’s time to get huge.

Looking ripped! Really great athletic physique. I’m jelly of these legs!

@samul nice! Definitely a leaning down. Don’t beat yourself too much, it was a hard time for everybody! Now imagine diet compliance + real gym and in 6 months you’ll be a beast

Edit: accidentally uploaded before pic haha.

My after pic, farmer tan and all. Been doing PCs GMM for a couple months now. Definitely feel my shoulders, upper back and biceps have grown. Up about 6 lbs since the beginning of the transformation. Weighed 212 before the picture, so I’m guessing 206-208 in the morning.

Crushed some PRs these past couple months and I didn’t add a terrible amount of fat so I’m very happy with how the transformation went.

Going to keep running GMM until it gets reasonably warm here in NY, then switching back to 531 to smash some more PRs. Hoping to get a 300lb zercher squat by mid summer.

Looking at my before pic and my current state, I’m wondering if I should start a thread called “How I stay at 20% bodyfat year round”…
