While on a cutting diet, would you say that doing cardio on your off day would be:
A) A good idea as it increases your calorie deficit and ups your metabolism
or
B) A bad idea as it interferes with your recovery
Currently I get around 2 hours of cardio a week. Adding cardio on off days would up that to about 2.5 hours a week. Opinions anyone?
A. if we are talking low intensity cardio but you didn’t specify

Agreed.
Low intensity Cardio can even increase your recovery rate, the concept of “active recovery” is very frequently applied in sports today
Good point as to whether it’s low intensity or not, I’ll do a little reading on active recovery and see where that leads me.
I’ve had good success doing both. I performed steady-state cardio four times a week for 8 weeks and lost 8-10lbs from April - May/June of this past year.
But I’ve also lost fat using more of a HIIT-based system several times a week in addition to three days of intense weight training (a la Renegade Training).
