I want to do the t-dawg diet. I am currently 6’ feet 283 pounds. I want to get down to about 223 in the next 3 months. I’ve always lifted weights but never really paid attention to nutrition (hence the 283 pounds).
I wanted to know 2 things. Number 1 can anyone who has done this diet outline a meal plan for me? I know the calorie requirements and so on but am just bad at setting up a diet. And number 2 when in the T-dawg diet it says drop 500 calories after the first week, do you do this every week? Thank you for your time.
I am sorry but, unless you are planning on liposuction, chopping off a leg, or perhaps vomiting, you are not going to lose 60 lbs in 3 months. There is no healthy way about it.
Perhaps the fastest fat cutting diet is something in the vein of the V-Diet; some kind of fat fast. If it worked extremely well for you, you probably could get through 20 lbs in a month. As it is it exceeds what most would call the safe level of fat loss in a given time frame. At the very least you threaten the ability for your skin to shrink back when you push it.
Now, presuming you can somehow maintain your metabolism and psychological stamina, you would have to do the V-diet for 3 months straight to achieve your goal in the time frame you have outlined.
I do not mean to come down hard on you, but I do want to give you some perspective so that you can set some more reasonable goals and thus not get discouraged. I am sure you can, if you are patient and determined, lose the 60 lbs, but do it right so that it stays gone, and so that it is mostly/all fat.
I agree with Moon Knight - 20 lbs per month for 3 straight months is extremely unlikely, especially if you want to maintain health. The V-Diet has often helped people lose 10-20 lbs in a month, so it’s probably your best bet. However, it’s extremely harsh nature means you shouldn’t do it for 3 months straight. As I recall, Shugart recommended that you put a month or two in between successive V-Diets. So you could potentially do a month of V-Diet, a month of T-Dawg, then a month of V-Diet, etc. Start searching articles and forums.
