Not as Fat Guy in a Little Coat

You’re in there because you earned it, bud.

Who’s the ugly guy doing 455 any way?

great video meat, i will have to watch it again tomorrow before i go work out.

Great video. Whats your training schedule look like these days? You hitting the weights twice a week now?

Watched that video about 6 times today.

Post workout makes me want to hit it again. Thanks for sharing.

If that doesn’t get you pumped…Just missing Bob Gainor’s 680 DL at 64 years young…

You were a well-deserved part of that compilation.

Have you noticed your diet compromising your strength at all?

pretty good night. hit a weight PR.

reverse grip bench to 4 board
135x6
225x4
315x4
405x2
495x1
565x1 + 20lb PR

full ROM- reverse grip
315x15

dumbell floor press- neutral grip, each rep paused
100’s x 20 x 2

incline flyes- paused at full stretch
50’s x 20 x 2

cable wrist curls

some x 20 x 3

standing calf raises

some x 20 x 3

kept the accessory work light for higher reps tonight. good change of pace.

it is a great vid… those olympic squatters are amazing. they make it look so effortless and fast. unlike me… i make it look sloooowww and hard.

yep… i have a bench day where i’m prioritizing the reverse grip bench and then a squat day where i’m prioritizing the front squat and then a conditioning day.

not a lot but enough for me.

no problem…there are a few of these on youtube. i was in one awhile ago with one of my vids of a 520 bench. but like i said, there’s a few of them out there with the real freaks of the sport.

thank you Kimba:)

not yet… but then again, i’ve been doing it slowly. i also eat my carbs right before i go to the gym, so that gives me energy for the gym. once i get below 250, i’ll probably notice it though.

Meat, great lifting! You know someone’s moving an assload of weight when they have 3 spotters…lol.
Have you done rev. grip bench in the past? What do you think, or have you experienced, the carry over to be?

I’m gonna try the two lifting days a week with conditioning as well. Is it necissary to de-load with this schedule?

Meat are you a bench only guy? I never really read the whole thread but I saw the reverse bench stuff and I wanted to know if it seems to help your bench. I am a 3 lifter but I have the most success with my bench. I am also aquainted with Bunny. as he lifted in my fed recently.

nope…never did them before. they really strengthen the tricpes and rear delts. my lockout is much stronger from doing them.

thanks Strick.

no need to deload. you get plenty of rest only lifting twice a week. give it a go and let me know what you think. it definitely keeps me motivated with so few days to actually lift.
