Nikki's Workout Log

Thanks Nadia, again your comment means a lot to me

Oh Timmy, I thought the “wow.” was bad lol
Ugh, posing is a workout by itself!

Maschy, it’s the shimmy that I do in the vid, isn’t it? What can I say, I love to shimmy. I even shimmy when I’m about to eat yummy food.

Thanks N, my first time trying the weighted pull-ups.
Who knew 25 lbs will be the difference between 11 non-weighted pull-ups and eeking out 1 weighted.

Ok, so I may have said that I was going to have a low-carb day yesterday. Eh, didn’t work out like that. I had an egg, 2 egg whites with cheese and bacon for breakfast, then I didn’t end up eating until 5 (things got busy) so I went to Sonnys. I got 3 ribs and a chicken thigh and leg, and decided to say “Fuck it all” and got mac and cheese and fries. But my mom sabotaged my self-sabotage and got me a baked sweet potato to have instead though. So eats weren’t bad… besides only eating 2.5 times yesterday. Bah.

Last night I did some abs and cardio intervals. I wanted to ask if anyone who does sidebends, if they realized that the next day their waist is smaller.
I mean, for those who read my workouts, I barely do abs. My abs get sore just doing my upper and lower body workouts. For some reason, they were sore after the last upper body W/O. But then again, what wasn’t sore.
So anyway, that means that I haven’t done sidebends in months. My waist has also been at 28 inches for a while, so I did 3 sets of sidebends and broomstick twists and this morning, my waist is 27.5 inches.
This is how it’s been for years, even when I was 200+ pounds. My weight was distributed evenly, but to really get that hourglass shape, I’ll just do sidebends to give me that sexy waist-to-hip ratio.
Anyway, I know spot-reducing is a myth, but that’s just my observations.

Anyway, woke up today, made a protein pancake and did sprints for 30 minutes. I probably did around 11-12 sprints in that time. The sprints were 60-70 yards (I counted the cement blocks, but stopped counting around 50 when I saw I still had a lot more to count).
Sprints ranged from :24-:29 seconds, the rests were LONG. I haven’t sprinted in a long time so that was expected.

Meanwhile I can’t feel my legs right now. It’s like the ghost-limb thing, when people lose a limb but they still feel it. Haha! That’s what my legs feel like.

Anyway, sorry to bore you guys. I guess I’m stalling from having to get up and walk.

I love side bends…good stretch as well.

’ you can do side bends or sit ups, but please don’t lose that BUTT!’

hehe

you can blame Hall, she started this whole sharing of ones pics in other people’s logs…I kinda like it though!

Thataway Nik on the weighted pullups! Your a fucking beast…Did you say u were doing hammer strength weight pushups, or am becoming dislexic again? if so what is that?

Great upper body workout Nik!

Just like everyone else said, I got tired just from reading them!

Those HSPU are kickbutt - woo hoo!

<3

I can’t say i do sidebends. You probably get enough ab work from the complexes alone, let alone the upper and lower body work.

Bless Hall for starting this pics thing, and MiM for posting such a lovely picture

I can’t do that though, I’ll feel weird lol

blush Oh stop it Matty… no, don’t. Say how I’m a beast again haha
I used the Smith Machine to do my push ups. I got under the bar (with the weight on each side), unhooked it, and did the push-ups with the bar as my resistance.

Thank you Bekah :*

Calories are ridiculously low today… I guess this means I can have cashews and yogurt covered raisins tonight! Weee ;D

Timmy, yeah that’s why I don’t do much ab work.
But I need to keep up with the sidebends, my waist might be 27" soon

Try windmills…for a complete arse kicking! Taking the sidebend to the extreme!

Steve Cotter has some great vids.

A wise wise man indeed!
I will take the blame for cross journal pic bleed… moar! Moar! Moar!
<— can’t have log

Nik… just how long are you spending at the gym? Before work I try not to take longer than an hour… but legs day saturday I did just;

Ax6 x6sets
Bx7 x4sets
C1x20 x4sets
C2x20 x4sets
Dx8 x3sets
Ex7 x3sets
then some planks just 45x3

I swear I was there two hours! You must be there all damn day long.

Timmy, those are hot, thank you. I heard of windmills, but never really saw them, and I just tried them out (no weight, and my poor DOMS-ridden core haha) and they seem to be a keeper.

Aww Hal, I know you can’t have a log :frowning:
You can post pics where ever you please

LOL no, my last upper body workout I noted that I was there for less than 2 hours.
Lower body day is about the same, if not less.

I don’t screw around with my rest periods. I’m literally, pick up the weight, do reps, put weight down, NEXT!

woo hoo that was a killer first attempt at weighted pu’s! killing it in here, as usual!

yep, windmills are good.

The next step after that is the two hands anyhow, but instead of using an overhead squat, use a windmill, alternating sides . Very taxing.

Eeek sprints! I need to add those in. I want to have numb legs too. Congrats on the shrinking waist!

Yeah I was dicking around! My two most favorite people to watch were both in the weightroom. My friend Brandon totally called me out too. “You’re walking around alot” lol. Yeah I had shit to look at!

Y’all are sweet.

Haha Hal I didn’t mean it like that.
On leg day I’m a little more laid back (gives me an opportunity to talk to the eye candy as well) since I don’t have to work as many muscles.
On upper body day though I blast my iPod and I’m pretty much like “Leave me alone.”
The other day I had to ask these guys if they were using a pair of DBs and for some reason they were taking forever to answer and I just didn’t have time for the "Uhh"s so I just walked away. Those precious seconds are lost ;D

But on leg day I’ll talk to people, and don’t put up my “wall”. I’m still a social butterfly and it hurts to have to ignore people on certain days, but I gotta think of me too.

So, I didn’t have my nuts and raisins, I knew I needed more protein so I made a protein pancake with chopped dried apricots on top. Definetely Nom.

But I’m still under 1200 calories for the day so I think a cheat is warranted.
Can you say Frozen Yogurt?.. Oh yeah.

I can’t wait till you get to

Z1 in a log, your cardio is typing out your workout.

And +25lbs on the pullups is kickass. I need to step up my weighted pull up game.

Oh and I am a big fan of the new trend of posting your own pics

HSPUs ftw! Your way of setting up HSPUs seems much more sane than mine. I’ve always kicked up to the wall and did them facing away from the wall. There’s a higher probablility of a foot going through the wall though if you have drywall!
