Seriously! you can only be so nice before you have to get medieval…

Nikki, I consider myself very “nice”, but even I would have to cause a ruckus if my buttons keep getting pushed. Don’t let these brotards keep you from working out!

Your log, as well as a few others here, make me SO glad I train at home. I don’t see how some of you girls aren’t stabbing these bitches left and right!?

I’m all caught up! Yay me.

LOVE THE LATEST PIC <3

MOAR!?

^^^^^ This

Not sure what advice to give, try different times of the day if possible? But no matter what don’t let others effect your training

I would just tell them that you were working there first and give them the stare down. I’ve actually had guys apologize to me after being extremely rude and acting like idiots (throwing plates on the ground instead of putting them back and then getting mad when I asked them to put it back, trying to step in front of me for a rack, or whatever). They get offended, then the think about it, then some of them apologize.

If a guy asks how much longer just tell him “It’s going to be a while” without even looking at him. Generally he’ll walk away, but even if he responds rudely, think about it, you’re minding your business being a good gym client, he’s being rude, I don’t think telling him how you feel will ever come back badly on you.

Your gym sounds very entertaining. Also: ‘entertaining’. People make me so mad sometimes (or ‘I choose to feel…’ - whatever). I tell people how many sets I have left when they start messing with / using stuff that I’m using. If they are taking plates off or putting some on or whatever I’ll say ‘I only have two sets to go’ or whatever. They usually apologize and put the stuff back the way it was then. I think sometimes people are just so excited to be doing their workout / training that they forget about other peoples.

And when lots of people don’t have the courtesy to clean up after themselves after they are done it can be hard to know. But people can be damned annoying, yup. I’m finally starting to be a bit more assertive about my space in the gym. People don’t crowd me the way they used to anymore. Still, could have been more assertive today. And probably could have been more assertive the time some dude told me he would be ‘about an hour’ with the blocks…

WOW, IRL no one ever tells me that I need to speak up more… it’s actually the opposite.
But I’ve been really mellow lately lol

I’ve had a lot of stress lately, some good, some bad, but when I bear this weight on my shoulders, I just let little things slide. It’s like, I’m stressed enough, I don’t need to argue over pointless crap right now.
Like today, I was standing in line in a store and someone was behind me, crowding me. Normally, I hate that and I’ll turn around and ask “Yo, are you paying for my stuff? No? Then can I get some room?”
But today, I just said whatever and moved. Even my mom was shocked that I didn’t say anything. She knows how much I love to make a scene ;D

Like I said, too many big stresses to worry about small shit.

Hal, more pics on Friday, still making steady progress, and thanks for dropping by the log O
Well, more like thanks everyone for dropping by.

Which brings me to getting to the journals. TN is acting weird for me right now, so I’ll either catch up on journals later or manana. Sorry about that
I still get the Gateway 504 error or whatever, and I’m sure that comments I did write didn’t even post. Argh.

Now that’s a lovely workout. Good work girlie!

I’m a complex ho, so of course I love that what you did there.

I’m glad you’re managing your stress and letting things slide off your back. If there’s no need for ruckus then why bother?

Exactly why I hate cable machines too. I want to know EXACTLY how much weight I’m lifting, thank you.

I hope for you that the bad stresses disappear soon.

Love the BB circuits as well Nik, been using them pretty regularly now, seems to the trick conditioning wise.

Glad you liked it! killing it!
In Javorek’s article he states the importance of not rushing through he exercise, focussing on each rep with perfect form. it really makes a difference, unless you are looking as an epoc, muscular endurance, fat burner (or my favourite, a complete mindfuck!) at the end of a workout where you are trying to get the heart rate through the roof “If you are not telling yourself 2 sets in, that 2 sets is enough, it’s not heavy enough.” Alwyn Cosgrove.
Here is one of his T-Nation articles, he has some great ideas/articles.

Here’s another link to elite’s web site and Alwyn’s article.

I’m tired reading your workout!
Do you take any supps? just curious…I looooove caffeine, but ‘fat burners,’ mess me up.

you managed a PR amidst the crazy volume! good stuff

I’m so happy that the problem wasn’t just me, I felt bad not getting to the logs

Thank you Maschy, I loved it as well

Kim, the only thing that tells the truth are free weights lol
I hate that things like lat pulldowns vary from place to place. In my case, move a couple feet to the left from where I was doing 100+ lbs, and now I’m doing 40. Go figure.

Oh yes Matty, complexes are amazing for conditioning. It’s always the cardio that has you making deals with God just to live through the workout that are the best for you.

Yeah Timmy, I tell myself continuously to pace myself through the complex.
Don’t think that the bar wasn’t heavy enough! I didn’t want to get past the 2nd set, believe me. I was surprised I picked up the bar again after the 1st set.
But I know that when I give up, I only cheat myself so I just gotta do it.
Thanks for the links, I’ll rummage through them in a few.

MiM, I take HOT-ROX. It doesn’t give me any energy, and I only take 1 pill a day haha
Caffeine doesn’t do anything for me, even though I like coffee before cardio, but I can go to sleep after a cup or HOT-ROX.
With HOT-ROX though, I feel like I do need to give some credit because if I’m losing any muscle with my diet, it’s VERY miniscule.

Ok, didn’t do anything but play Ultimate Frisbee today. I was awesome, and my team won twice

We also had to do body fat check since it’s the end of the class. When the first semester started, I was 25%, and today I am 19%.
My teacher was stunned, she checked twice!
Then I went home and checked myself, got 19.7-20.1% BF (I kept checking). I’m keeping the 20.1% number saved, just to be safe.
And weight is at 144 this morning, so fat’s going down, but weight isn’t dropping drastically, so I’m ecstatic.

I’ll do some cardio tonight as well, might be a bodyweight complex… yeah, I like that.

do you also use the hand held thingy?

WTG!!
