love that song for lifting. gets me in a proper head place.
Hey, have you been to a bb’ing show yet? Its a great thing to see what your competition looks like…I went to my first one last year to support Vic(bb’er trainer guy) Extremely motivational!
Haven’t been in here in a long time. You are doing awesome!!! Those Smith kickbacks do look awesome!!!
Yeah, I love Breaking Benjamin (especially I Will Not Bow for FST-7), Disturbed and Five Finger Death Punch. I like some others of course but those guys help push me through some grueling stuff… and David Draiman is just delicious.
Sadly I haven’t been to a comp show. I look up the winners and see videos but I’ve never been to one.
Thanks Greeny ![]()
Disturbed-Dropping Plates…Never fails to get you pumped :).
Sup Nikki
Song is good, love disturbed.
BBall has to be the best cardio ever. Honestly 30 minutes of that is equivilant to 30 minutes of sprints…Crazy what a sweat you get going and the cardiovascular system is working up a storm…
I can shoot like an animal, 3s and lay-up I just get winded after 5 minutes so I am not the best player either…lol
Five Finger Death Punch is the shiz. As is Breaking Benjamin (probably my favorite band/one of my faves).
I have auburn hair, that’s on the red spectrum.
Dropping Plates is hot, but ANY song from Disturbed will get you pumped. Like this…
Determination that is incorruptibe… geez, I’d so bang.
I mean, moving on ![]()
Oh AustinB, you need to work on that endurance, getting winded like that. No worries, I’ll get you the rock, you can shoot it from wherever.
See, I always said we make a good team ![]()
From FFDP, I’m totally digging No One Gets Left Behind.
Well shit, it’s not like I have anything else to put in my log. Might as well post it.
Like I said, songs with messages <3
just bought Five Finger Death Punch. Thanks for the suggestion Nikki. It will be a great addition to my lifting track.
You need Limb from Limb by Exhumed
Glad to help N.
Uhm Behexen, that song is… something else. Wowzers.
Breaking Benjamin’s cool.
In gym class, just walked on the treadmill while I watched SuperSize Me. I never saw it before.
I’m slowly losing my mind from not going to the gym, but I’ll keep my ass seated until Friday-Saturday.
A girl in my gym class pushed one of my buttons today. She asked me if I drank protein shakes, so I said yeah. So she had this Bleck look on her face and told me that she hates the idea of protein shakes, because she doesn’t want to get huge. What I don’t understand is why a scoop of protein, around 120 calories, will bulk you up and a Reese’s cup with equal amount of calories gets you “fat”.
For the remainder of this deload, I will research the answer to this question.
HERE I COME
IM DROPPIN PLATES ON YOUR ASS

I don’t think the average person knows the number of calories in a scoop of protein. They just know that bodybuilders drink them to get huge. So of course, they must make one huge. I mean aren’t protein shakes just liquid steroids? A reeses cup is candy, candy makes you fat. The logic isn’t hard to follow, it’s just stupid. You’re basically just asking why people are stupid. That might actually be an interesting question to research.

Is your question, why would someone who took 3 protein shakes a day be in better shape than someone on the exact same diet but replaced those protein shakes caloric wise with reeses?
Or is that the girls question I am confused :).
Not all calories are created equally. Some foods just should not be eaten or at least eaten sparingly. Reeses, cakes and cookies, they just are not conducive to building muscle. They are useless cals. I forget the exact science but eating meals high in fat and carbohydrates is a sure fire way to pack on fat. Something to do with insulin and how the body stores nutrients. I haven’t taken nutrition in a couple years. I gotta look up my facts again. Protein and carbs on the other hand is essential for muscle growth, carbs being protein sparing and providing energy and protein (amino acids) being the building block of muscle tissue. So when you get that insulin spike while eating carbs, the uptake of protein into the muscle is greater, hence a protein carb meal.
EDIT: Basic bodybuilding guidlines, I know what works and like I said I’ll try to look up the science soon, but the best way to do things is usually having Protein Fat meals and Protein Carb meals just to stay lean and anabolic. You can do your macro breakdown however you want, I am not religious with it but a lot of people do 20/40/40 as far as calories go F/P/C or someone who gets fat easily off carbs would do something like 20/40/40 except it’d be C/P/F. The numbers are percentages of where the calories come from. P&C are 4 calories per gram and F is 9 per gram for calculations. Like I said though I am not religious about counting cals and macro breakdown but I do try and stick to my P&F and P&C meals. I eat when hungry, usually 5 meals a day maybe 4 or maybe 6 depending on what’s going down, usually more on leg day. I’ve been leaning out well eating when hungry and eating quality foods, actually see size increases with bodyfat decreases just eating clean, busting ass (almost as much as you do, trying to get on your level) and not force feeding like a lot of people trying to get big do, I’ve been guilty and it’s a pain in the ass correcting that shit.
Hope you liked the bro-science <3 lol.
