NFL 2010 x 2

^Good question. The def. has bended quite a lot this yr but hasn’t broken. This should be a good test for us. With Houston being pretty good both run & pass.

Well lord knows there defense couldnt stop a retarded group of pop warner midget girls.

edit: Houston’s defense, shoudl have typed that.

^7-2 … 2-7 hmmmmmmmmm

^ I edited my quote it will make more sense.

^HAHA!! It’s all good DJ. I’ve noticed over the last 6 weeks or so that the opposing team seems to really get up for the Jets.

^ Of course, the Texans were built to keep up with the Colts. When they play teams like the Jets though the end up really getting torched. I am trying to route for the Texans cause of the Father in law, but there defense needs a lot of work.

If I were GM of a team, I would certainly build around Newton. I know Luck is a better passer & most likely more cerebral QB. But hot damn!!! Who wouldn’t want Cam? He’s a bigger, stronger, almost as quick Vick. Good throwing motion too.[/quote]

I doubt Cam will even go in the first round when he comes out. He isn’t a good passer, and running QBs don’t bring success in the NFL (Vick is an exception, but has experienced his new rise as a result of recombine more of a pocket passer first).

If Cam is smart he will remain in college for one more year and work on his passing game, take a page out of Vick’s book.

Dolphins vs Bears tonite… who do u guys have?

IMO i think it’ll be a close game phins are starting their former 3rd stringer qb (although he showed promise going for 50yds and a td in 1 quarter of play last game), banged up line, but they have a solid defense, and they are playing at home.

bears are coming off a pretty good win but its against farve and the vikings… cutler is prone to int’s and their WR corp is above avg at best… as usual their defense is solid but aging…

i’ll go on a limb and say 24-20 Miami…

I don’t think Cam compares to Vick. Cam is much bigger but also a little slower and not as shifty. Cam is also a much less developed passing QB than Vick was at this stage. The benefits of his size will diminish greatly as well when he moves from college to the NFL, as he’ll go from being a beast in size to simply average, and will be getting lit up by 'backers and safeties that will punish him for running.

I would much rather have Luck, Mallet, or even Locker if I was to take a QB this year, and I bet 90% of GM’s would agree.

WC I can certainly agree on some points, however this guy is 6’6" and 250 lbs, there is not a safety in the NFL that will light him up. Not many LB’s either, that is why guys like Ben and Freeman have excelled with less that perfect passing ability. Every thing else I agree with except Locker not sold on that kid.

Since my Cowboys suck this year it got me thinking about losing records and playoffs. With what the Bengals did last year in sweeping there division, do you ever thing we will have a 6 and 10 playoff team? I mean you beat everyone in your division but lose all your other games you could make it in? Am I just bored cause my Cowboys suck? Maybe. Dont care.

Oh I definitely agree he is nowhere near Vick, I am sayin he needs to take a page out of Vicks book and improve his pocket passing asap.

Tyler Thigpen will prove that he is better than Pennington and Henne. It will be a blessing in disguise. when he started in KC he kicked the shit out of my Jets, Im a fan, Fish will win tonite…coming out party for Thigpen and Brown

i hope so brown has been quiet all year… weird cuz its a contract year

My Eastern Cousin Vinnie, Phins suck at home this year. Bears some how win by 3.

I don’t get these posts from WC & Dixie’s over Cam’s arm? Now I’m no professional but when Gruden & Jaworski come out and say he’s got one of the better throwing motions & is ready for the NFL, I wanna believe them. Is he like Vick? No. His game maybe similar but in realty they aren’t even close. Vick’s throwing motion coming out of Tech wasn’t all that good. People forget that while in ATL Mike Mularkey changed his entire throwing motion. Moorniweig is just getting the fruits of that labor.

Newton has a cannon of an arm. It will not stop him from being a top 10 draft pick.

There’s been some years where I thought the NFC West might accomplish the goal of a ‘someone has to win the division’ playoff team… but 6-10 seems really extreme.

Well Baseball and Basketball have had guys with .500 records or less making the playoffs. Is that the type of league we could enjoy? I mean taking the NFC west division winner is 6-10 but the NFC South has 3 teams that are all over 10-6 for the year. One of these teams is not going because the 6-10 team goes. Just wild thinking that could happen.

The year the Cardinals made it in at 9-7 there was a lot of discussion about that(in hindsight, hey they made the super bowl and almost won good on them!) because the Patriots of that year missed the playoffs at 11-5. I have always wondered what the point of using division winners for playoff seedings and shit is(but then if it means nothing the divisional rivalries start to lose meaning?). From a purely best-competition-possible standpoint they are obviously less than ideal.
