Theres so much parody this year, I dont think you could say who the best teams are as every week it changes, the pats looked great last week but then had a clunker against the Browns. Its really a toss up in the AFC, you really wouldnt be wrong in saying the Pats, Jets, Ravens, Steelers.
In the NFC I guess its a little more clear cut. The Giants or Eagles are the class of the division with the Packers, Falcons next in line
^Now, you guys know my love for the pups. & you know I rt around the corner form Bad newz keenels, but the fact of the matter is he is the hottest player in the NFL today. We can argue back & forth over our personal feelings about him, but when it comes to football I think we’d all agree he is best player in the league as of today.
To answer DJ’s question I agree that in the NFC it’s the Eagles & than the Saints. In the AFC I think it’s a bit more than just picking the Patz. Especially since we beat them & have the same record. But I don’t want to put them up there in fear of the JINX.

I want Vick to fail so bad, this is killing me.

Matty on a personal note I cant stand the guy at a different level then I hate Brady but those are personal feelings. However as a football fan, both of these guys are fucking playing lights out right now. Would love for the Giants to kick there ass, I just dont think it will happen. Also R Barton is out for the season for the G men. They are losing people and they dont have that kind of depth.
Oh I know and no doubt the guy looks unfortunately amazing. But this is where we differ, I believe Manning makes his receivers better, you plug in Manningham in the starting lineup he does well, Barden gets put in there he does well, They will start using Boss some more who is great after the catch for a TE (he is a FA next year and will have a breakout pass catching year with whoever he signs with).
I believe they do have the depth, obviously when you lose three receivers you cant have that kind of depth (smith, hixon, barden) but Boss, Nicks, Manninham, Bradshaw and Jacobs gives you more than enough talent to make up for it.
^ Dont get me wrong maybe was not clear, this is who I fear going to the SB. I would probably not watch out of protest if it ended up the Pats and Eagles in the SB. Yes I know the pats lost to the Browns, however the rest of there games they played solid. Brady has the playoff wins and I fucking hate it. Every year the teams that start getting hot right now are the ones who go far in the playoffs.
Besides the one year the Cards limped in. I had figured the Jets running game would stay solid, I am just not sold yet. Also there D has had some injuries that have them a little less dominating than last year. If I had to pick a AFC team that I am cheering for it is the Jets, since the Texans have lost it.

Yeah bro if the Pats and the Eagles go to the SB Ill be watching the puppy bowl on animal planet with my eyes peeled on the water bowl cam
Fuck that I will go get drunk and cry. I am serious it just hit me driving that I could not get into that game what so ever. I love football and can appreciate and watch most games, but this is one I really could not watch. Not disrespecting the guys on here that love these teams, cause if you do think of your worst nightmare and you will understand.
The Eagles D is definitely that team’s weakness. Even the ass-raped Skin were able to show that. Unfortunately, that offense is so insanely fast it doesn’t even matter. The Skins were down for a slow, smash mouth football game. Apparently for the Eagles, that’s a thing of the past. The Redskins are just too slow and too old to play that kind of game. A younger, faster team will do better but there is no doubt that the Eagles are the FASTEST.
I think the Eagles are the team in the NFC. I haven’t believed the Giants hype since I saw them playing in the beginning of the season. Eagles will go to the Superbowl. Even though I hate them, it’s not Dallas (more hate) and they are kind of amazing to watch.
PS- (in regards to bringing Vick here) the Skins STILL don’t need to be addressing a quarterback issue. We need to be addressing the rest of the offense. As a unit they have too many guys holding us back. When Anthony Armstrong, a guy outta the UFL (I think), is your best play-maker, shit’s fucked up.
Lucky for me I already knew this was a rebuilding year so I can just say that when Eagles fans get in my face. Or I can punch them. One or the other. hahah
^True on all the other needs Nate. But let me ask you this? If they had/will sign Vick can you imagine all the other FA’s that would want to come to ol’ DC to be part of that. Who the fuck wants to play w/McNabb?

Here is my thinking about the Skins. They signed McNabb to hold the fort for the next 2 years, while Shanny builds through the draft. This draft he needs a QB and WR. Then the next one the stud RB, he has a history of cycling RB’s without a problem. However he always had a stable QB in Denver. He doesnt want to go the Rookie QB method thus he give McNabb the money to train the new QB. This way McNabb cant bitch cause he is getting paid. McNabb will not see all this money and he will be cut before the 2013 season.
agreed… skins like to sign players to huge contracts and not honor all the years…
case in point: Bruce smith
Washington Redskins
After the 1999 season, Smith signed with the Washington Redskins as a free agent. In his first season, he posted 58 tackles and ten sacks, although he was now playing in mostly passing situations. He pressed onward in pursuit of Reggie White’s all-time sacks record (198, achieved in 15 seasons), which he passed in the thirteenth game of his 19th season in 2003. Smith finished his career with 200 career sacks.
Smith had hinted in interviews that 2003 would be his final season. However, he never completely ruled out continuing to play. But on February 24, 2004, the Redskins released Smith, saving $6.5 million in salary cap space
by the time the skins signed him bruce smith was in the NFL for 14 years…
I’m glad for Vick. Yeah, I know he did some messed up stuff, but he served his time and from all outward appearances seems to have really changed. He appears very humble and grateful for a second chance. He’s getting his shot at redemption and is taking full advantage of it. I’m not an Eagles fan, but I am a Vick fan.
â??Vick doing so good, he got dogs cheering for him,â??
From Desean Jackson:
â??The pregame altercation got us going,â?? Jackson said, in reference to his spat with Redskins safety LaRon Landry, per the Associated Press. â??It had us ready. We came back into the locker room pumped. We were like pit bulls, ready to get out of the cage.â??

None of those quotes came from Vick. Why continue to hate on him?

Is he really good for the NFL brand, the guy was making money on dog fighting. I am surprised they didnt get him for some type of drug convection because they normally go together.
All the hate is on a personal note, NOT on his play on the field. Yes he did his time, BUT I gurantee that if any one of us go to prison we will not come back out get our jobs back and get a raise. Also be getting employee of the month or year.

Believe me, I am not affected by the McNabb contract. I had him pegged here for 2 years, 3 possible. The whole $78 million will never see the light of day.
The only retort I have for your comment (which I agree with) is why not let McNabb go and get Jay Cutler whom Shannahan had already groomed?
Also, we need to work on fixing up this o-line. No QB or WR can succeed if the ball can’t be thrown.
Donte Stallworth killed a man & came back. No one talks about him being back in the NFL. & I don’t want to hear that it’s because he is not as high profile. The guy killed a man while driving drunk. One of the worse offenses their is. KILLED a man & is still playing. Fucking blasphemy. Their will always be exceptions to the rule. Especially in high profile positions. President for example (B. Clinton)
& you’re right DJ, if you worked for PETA & did something like this Emp. of the month would be out of the question.
Listen, bottom line is the guy is playing lights out.

It goes w/o saying on why I hate Vick, its a strong word but I do hate him and the vile acts of depravity he did. I wish him nothing but the worst. DJ is correct all the hate is on a personal note, I am aware if he keeps this up he is the NFL’s best player which makes me wonder if there is a God (in jest), I understand if he keeps this up you can have the members of the view on the eagles O-line and they will still win and he still wont be touched.
My bad I do not want to turn this thread into my own I hate Vick athon, Ill stick with football.
^ So good you posted it twice. I think all the cases have to be taken on a case by case bases. My point is the NFL is about money, Vick can win on the field but the guy in my opinion will not win awards off the field. Accidents happen and people fuck up, this is seen in all professions. My thing is if a Dr. or Lawyer does these crimes, he doesnt get to go back and practice his profession. Believe that, Vick and Donte just need to do the time on the field and stay out of the press.
