This is an important statement. The cornerstone of the Eagles for decades has been its defense. McDermott had the mentor of mentors and it seems that the defense has not been as consistent for the past two years (not that Iād expect him to be instantly perfect).
The secondary has been a weak point and it seems that Philly just gives up too many big plays.
I donāt think itās a talent issue, but I donāt think itās necessarily McDermott (who still has a lot of growing as a D.Coord), but theyāre not firing on all cylinders for sure.

At this point in the season to me the overall best teams emerging out of the AFC and NFC are the Pats and the Eagles. This is very painful to me, like admitting my X-Wife actually has had a intelligent thought in her life. I know that there are a lot of other good teams out there, however these two have shown the consistency throughout the year and seem to be ramping up for the playoffs. What is everyone elses thoughts?

Matty on a personal note I cant stand the guy at a different level then I hate Brady but those are personal feelings. However as a football fan, both of these guys are fucking playing lights out right now. Would love for the Giants to kick there ass, I just dont think it will happen. Also R Barton is out for the season for the G men. They are losing people and they dont have that kind of depth.
