NFL 2010 x 2

DJHT, they mentioned that on ESPN about him, he got injured his junior or senior year and thats when it started.

Sorry DJHT but watching “America’s Team” literally crumble apart has been my favorite part of the season. Add in the fact that the Skins are playing better than I was expecting (or anyone was expecting) and this has been a good NFL season.

I’m still thrown off by just how many injuries are being accumulated all over the NFL this year though. I feel like this is some sort of record…
Hey man no worries, you are a rival team. I would expect no less. I have never had a problem with real fandom. I get pissed at fair weather fans who talk shit. Just think how your team is going to be with a few years of good drafts.
Haha. That’s what I was thinking but it seems the Boys’ are actually just going to continue stacking their team. You can just believe they are “sandbaggin”. LOL

umm…junior seau drove off a cliff guys…

I think we all saw your post, this is not the “E” thread. If he aint playing we dont give a fuck.

He drove off a cliff and lived, right? Perhaps he should still be playing. He’s durable.

Chris Johnson reminds me of Willie Parker. He was great at the start of his career, he hit the hole pretty hard but after he hurt his knee he started to dance a little too much. We’ll see how CJ is after coming back from an injury, it’s gonna happen sooner than later.

They had him miked up in week one and fuck that guy is tough, can’t block for shit though, tough at that size.
Chris Johnson is much, much better than FWP ever was. CJ is superior in vision, tackle-breaking, agility, pass catching, and speed. He has also proven to be durable to this point in his career, though I don’t know how long that will last.

FWP would always frustrate the shit out of me when he’d make a cut with tons of daylight in front of him, then promptly fall flat on his face, untouched. Joe Grass always had a career day when FWP was carrying the rock.

i think CJ is pretty legit… he has good ball security and has been durable so far… he catches decently well and runs hard when he sees the hole.

however, honestly i think tenn would work well to have a bigger “bruising” back to save CJ’s legs for later in the season since i don’t think he can handle 100% of the workload.

They did…Thunder to Chris Johnson’s lightning. He was traded to the Seahawks.

Goodbye Lendale White.

I heard it was tequila.

It looks like the NFL is going to start handing out suspensions for hits to the head.

I saw someone, somewhere, suggest that the replay official should be involved when deciding whether or not to eject a player after a hit. I just hope they use some measure of common fucking sense here.

I very much dislike this ordeal. I UNDERSTAND the idea behind it but it’s impossible to judge whether or not a “devastating hit” is purposeful or not. That will just lead to some stupid outcomes. The sport is about being physical. I actually liked the quick little discussion on SportsCenter this morning (I think it was after the MNF game) where it was said that if you can’t accept the fact that the game is physical and possibly risk injury, then don’t play. No one is forcing you…

I understand the need to penalize players who perform helment to helmet hits but in the case of DeSean Jackson’s, how can you penalize Robinson? He hit Jackson in the chest and slid up into his helmet- just like he was taught to make a tackle!

I agree with the Robinson comment, but head hunting (which is what harrison and mariweather were doing) is bush league “punk” football.

Trying to put someone in a wheel chair or permanently damage their brain forever isn’t being physical, it is being a douchebag.

There is a very clear line between a good, smash mouth, hard hitting player, and a prick like the two idiots mentioned above.

Completely agree with the above. When I first started playing football I thought that style of play was badass and all that, then after getting my clock cleaned enough I realized its just an asshole thing to do. I am a huge fan of Ray Lewis because he absolutely destroys guys with clean hits.

And to be clear. Incidental head-to-head contact is well within the limits of fucking awesome too. Bad angles, quick stops, unexpected shifts and shit happen, and sometimes the play just happens too fast to change your body position.

Concur, and add that the replay official should be instrumental in determining whether or not to dispense judgment. It happens too fast on the field for a line judge etc to see it.

^^ Yea if they make it so the replay official is not a big part of it this rule will just completely fuck the game up

im wondering why they didn’t run lendale as much in 09’ maybe it was cuz johnson was the hot hand? just like in balti… they’ve pretty much stopped running mcgahee altogether

How is this supposed to be judged though?! It’s going to be a difficult decision. How can you tell which one was incidental and which one was purposeful? I understand several MAY be obvious but they won’t all be.

I guess I just feel like if you start penalizing for these “devastating hits” it’s going to get to the point where it gets out of control. Next thing you know we will be penalizing players for tackling the legs out of a player and something in the knee tearing.

Soon we will all be watching FLAG FOOTBALL!!!

(Dunta Robinson was fined $50k)

^ Just a question to throw out there.

Any chance a lot of this safety concerns are a bargaining tool for the CBA? You have all the X-players yelling for health care and the union screaming about not taking care of players. Now the league can say look we are doing everything we can to protect players. Just a thought.
