unfortunately i would have to agree… mark sanchez was thrown in as a rookie and took them to the playoffs… even for a rookie thats a lot to handle (new schemes, plays, etc) altho he was used as more of a game manager than say manning would he still showed the poise and skill set to be successful.
This year he’s only improved, watching a few games with the jets, he’s had his ups and downs but he looks to have matured quickly and has minimized the mistakes he’s made in the past.

McCoy
Bradford
Stafford

McCoy. His contract is much more reasonable than the other two and allows much greater flexibility for an organization. I think he also has a much bigger chip on his shoulder, and that is pretty much priceless.
Agree. I wouldn’t want to pay any rookie as much as Bradford and Stafford are making. I think McCoy could end up being the best of the 3 too.

Stafford is the real deal from what I’ve seen, but it’s too small a sample…

Before this year would have said Stafford, at this point Bradford. Stafford is starting to be a injury problem. Bradford has as a rookie shown a lot of quality football. McCoy is a work in progress and will take time.

^ Cant agree more, the team around him has not stepped up like he has. In my head if you took Eli and put him in the same position that Rivers is currently playing at could he do the same thing? I just do not think Eli has that skill set, he is a good team player. He is not a leader by the way he carries himself on the field.
That is where we differ, I think he would. But like I said he is the one QB that I would have to think about as far as who is better. I no he was touted as one of the most overrated players in the NFL on that stupid list where TO was the most overrated but I actually think Eli is underrated.
Of course Eli would thrive in those offenses (charges, colts)
The giants offense is extremely simple and was just opened up this season. You cant take a guy in a defensive oriented-ball control-run first team and expect him to light it up whenever the team needs him to throw the ball 35 times, down 14 points. Some of those times the qb will succeed and sometimes not. Where as Peyton and Rivers are used to chucking the ball around because their offenses are built on the passing game.
Its not fair to compare quarter backs in markedly different offenses. You cant compare Joe Montana to Dan Marino for the same reasons. And no Im not saying Eli and Rivers are like montana and marino

Bonez have you thought that maybe the Giants have the type of offense they do because of the type of QB Eli is? Maybe the system is geared toward his strong points? Which is great coaching and why I have respect for Coughlin. Could Eli thrive in the Colts/Chargers system, yes with all the 1st string guys in, but could he do it with guys off the street like has happend over the last 3-4 weeks? That was my point, I am not saying he is a Trent Dilfer type of guy.
Damn, I feel bad for the kid. Hopefully he can stay healthy in the future.
Not like Detroit has a chance this year, he needs to just get it fixed and rehab. That way at least next year has a shot. Grade 3 will give him problems in the future, he will probably end up with early osteoarthritis.
