Thats why it would be funny, that is what I was thinking. Only way it could be better if it was in summer and Hell hot.

Our defense can absolutely shut down the Pittsburgh offense. The question is, how does Sanchez hold up when Polamalu blows right by Damien Woody on the outside? We can run it on anyone (thank you, San Diego) but turnovers kill.

^ This is going to be a hell of a game. Would be a hell of an AFC championship game.

Who are we predicting now to go the SB?
Steelers/Jets vs. Falcons/Packers, though obviously there are no clear-cut favorites at the moment. Every team has been exposed one time or another.

I wanna agree w/you Federal, but the def. has given up a shitload of yds this yr. Though they’ve been good in the redzone, but the bend but don’t break mentality won’t work against Pitt.

As for Troy, that’s pretty easy, you run right at him. The time Sanchez does have to throw? You boot Sanchez to the opposite side. He seems to throw better on the run anyhow. Maybe even set game plan up w/more of Conner in the backfield as a blocker only.

More than ever before, when the Browns beat the Pats and the Vikings have a come from behind against Detroit. The times be changing.

The Steelers have the #1 rushing defense in the NFL. You don’t beat them on the ground. You beat them with 12-15 yard outs or checkdowns the whole way down the field (apparently unless you have TO).

Polamalu is ineffective as a blitzer. He hasn’t been effective at too much this year since week 2 though. Harrison, Timmons, and Woodley are the matchup concerns when dealing with Pittsburgh’s defense.

I don’t believe any defense can completely shut down Pittsburgh’s offense with 7 under center. It is possible to hold them without many points if they turn it over though, especially if Arians tries to make 7 get five and seven step drops all game against heavy blitzing.

NYJ/PIT will be a great game. I believe there will be a rematch in the playoffs, no matter who wins.

srsly it annoys me to go to miami sporting events and see yankee hats or mets hats or any NYC paraphernalia… im like srsly? i usually get the same answer tho

“my parents moved down here… imma move back up to NYC whenever i get the chance… brb going to the nice beaches down here”

Who would you take on your team to start a franchise?

McCoy
Bradford
Stafford
Bradford - most accurate of the three, sure looks like he’s got “it” etc
Stafford - biggest cannon of the three, can make all the throws, looking kinda injury-prone
McCoy - no clue

And whoever brought up Sanchez, that was dumb. As a passer, that guy is very limited
Are you a GM Chill? Maybe you haven’t seen enough of Sanchez. To say he’s limited in passing is wrong. Now if you had said accuracy, I might agree w/you. As for arm strength & making all the throws including the 20yd out, he can do.

Is he better than the 3 mentioned? May be a bit early to call that one. But what he did in the last 5mins of Sun. proves to me that he can close a game out. I think the other thing in asking this question is not whether they all have arms, but what kinda leader they are. Think about how many Qb’s in the league are jelly arms but they command the huddle and know how to win.

Let us not forget the system these guys play in too.
Of course I’m not a GM. But on these interwebz now, one can dig up plenty of informed insight, coaching tape analysis etc

Of course Sanchez needs to be a game-manager-type with that NYJ squad around him, so its all speculation about the gunslinger-side of him. But by now, its def fair to question if he even has it

And of course the gunslinger-side of these young-QBs is relevant, given the original scenario

Being a Jet Fan I really dont believe Sanchez has to be a game manager type…he by now has proven he can toss the long ball and use his feet when he has too (and still learn how to slide) and make the sideline pass. I know the Jets have a good running attack, but when you have major weapons such as Keller, Edwards and Holmes you cannot simply be a run on first and second down team. You have to mix it up evenly, period. Sanchez has the ability to be whatever the game calls for wether it be dominating the clock or throwing long outs to catch up.

The Jets are not the Ravens and Trent Dilfer. The Jets offense is more dynamic than the national media gives them credit for.

In the first game of the season against said ravens they lost because Schottenheimer did not let Sanchez play to his ability and wanted him to only manage the game and not make a mistake…what happened they lost. They understood they made a mistake and 7 games later they are 6-2 because they let Mark throw the ball and not simply manage the game. Hes gonna throw interceptions thats a given but he is also going to make great plays that will steal games a la last week

I will take my Chances with Sanchez…over any of the three young QBs.

Vinny Miami is NY South, it will always be that way…shit Im even thinking of moving down there (I hope not tho, I am not a fan of FLA) and unless you put anything as your location, your from Georgia why arent u a dirty bird fan.

Fuck the kids nowadays (geez I sound old) may wear yankee hats because of Jay Z more than fucking derek jeter.

When I used to fly down to catch Miami Knick games…I was donning all my Knick gear and gave a big fuck you to all those heat fans, fucking hate the heat…but I digress…

I wonder how that would be…always wanted to go to a Dallas game…it looks awesome, I wonder how I would be received tho. My friend went to houston last August…he never felt heat like that before in his life.

kinda funny how the NYJ fans feel the need to “defend” their QB

let’s hear you guys defend that bagel he put up vs GB, at home, and fresh off the bye no less…

Current NFL QB Ratings:

20 - Carson Palmer
21 - Jason Campbell
22 - Shaun Hill
23 - Mark Sanchez

…that isn’t very good company for Sanchez to be keeping. I think he’s a decent QB that’s being carried by a powerful run game and a savage defense.

He’s young, has potential, and should definitely grow in the years to come, but to say that he is anything above average would be stretching it a little far.

He is a second year QB with a kickass line, good ass receivers, infectious coaching and in a huge market.

He isn’t Joe Montana, he is going to have bad games…

It’s too early to call the dude a dud, but also to early to call him a stud.

This is coming from a NE fan too, lol. I can’t hate the kid, even after the gay ass photo someone posted a page ago.

funny why? Never said he was a great QB I said he is more talented than to be simply be called a game manager. No defense for that horrible GB game, the jets put up a stinker.

It’s because they all get tired of the horrible weather in New York and get too old to survive the cold rainy days and frigid winters. I don’t really mind though, nobody goes to Marlins games and there are more people actually from Miami at Heat and Dolphins games than there are New Yorkers.

i work in atl, but orginally from miami… thats why im a dol-fan as well as most florida sports…

but being in atl and seeing mostly falcons games i can tell they have a solid team… usually when im not watching a phins game i’ll try to catch some of the falcon’s games… it works out too since they are also in a relatively competitive division…
