New Town, New Gym, New work

Hey all,
After a 5 week hiatus from doing any lifting and mostly just playing with my medicine ball and bodyweight/flexibility work - i got back into the gym. Only this time, its a new gym 550 miles away from the old one. Anyways, I figured I’d just drop some stuff i caught really quick:
*I figured since Indiana University has some really hot sports teams, the gym might be at least ‘ok’ - its alright, but still no reverse hyper (alas)
*Apparently, lightning fast partial reps with lots of body english is still popular - I suspect injuries will be too.
*A chinese girl doing deadlifts with what looked like 150lbs - in good form!
*Eccentric chins still get funny looks (“why is he taking 45 seconds to do one rep?!”)

Anyways - my program is simple for the first round its chest/back, legs/abs, and bis/tris.. 8-12 rep range, 3-4 sets of each.. compound movements for most everything but the bis/tris day. tempos 31x, 411, and 311. Basic conditioning/control things. Should be interesting to see what progress I can get. After doing 5 eccentric chinups at 45 seconds each - my back feels just like dbol.
