Hi everyone, i’m new to this fantastic site and even though this is not my first post, let me say a couple of things to introduce myself.
I’m just 22, an italian who studies in the Uk at the moment.
I’ve been working out seriously for the last 2.5 to 3 years. I’m 6ft/6ft’1
and weigh about 220 right now, having some excess fat partly because of the bulking period of the last two months.
Strength and size improved and i will be bulking, albeit clean, for the next month or so and then go through a cutting phase of 2 months which i hope will reveal my muscle gains over a long period of not being really lean.
When i began i was pretty lean and very vascular, even though i was not extremely lean i had visible veins popping on my quads, low to middle, something unusual, especially for beginners.
I followed the logic of gaining as much strength and size, but some periods of less progress and others off of training held back my current results. All in all, i’ve made some progress over these 2.5 years, but i wish it’s nothing compared to future achievments, both in strength and muscle.
I salute everyone on this site. I’ve read a few articles and topics and i can safely conclude that the majority of T-members are pretty smart and have interesting things to say. In a world becoming dumber and feminized, this website seems like an oasis of clear thought. Or as many of you would say, it seems like one of the few places safe from estrogen where testosterone is in abundance.
Been reading the articles on T-Nation for the last couple of weeks due to a recommendation of a fellow personal trainer at the gym I work at.
This site is fantastic, I thought I knew tons about training, nutrition and the science behind the iron, but the authors on here teach me something new everytime I read an article. Fantastic site keep up the good work.
I’m 27, 6’3 / 235 / 18% and have spent the two years or so totally disgusted with my midsection. An unhealthy anxiety about the gym kept me from doing anything about it until recently.
Anyway, I finally got myself psyched up enough to start working out and did so on and off three times a week, however I was lacking any decent cardio and the intensity was simply not there. Recently I’ve rededicated myself to my goal, which is to cut my boy fat and get the lean physique I remember myself having.
I’m hoping to keep this from being a tl/dr post, so to wrap it up I have 18% body fat, or about 41lbs of blubber ripe for burning. If I can drop 20 of those I’ll be a very happy man. I’ve been working hard, 7 hours of cardio a week (1HR / day) and 3 days on / 1off working muscle groups intensely (day1: legs / abs, day2: back / arms, day3: / chest / shoulders / arms / abs). Having switched up from my circuit training routine to intense exercises with heavy weights (3sets of 5 reps sort of stuff) I am already feeling healthier, which is something I haven’t had in forever.
I found this forum looking for a good fat burning supplement and was interested in HOT-ROX. I’ also like to talk with others about my workouts and continue to develop my plan. Hope to learn from all of you.
Goals: 1.) Lose my fat ass (6 to 8 inches on hips / waist where I store it all)
Ok, here we go!!
Yes, I’m new to this site. So far, it’s the coolest forum site of its kind. About me: I’ve been lifting on and off for 20+ yrs. I just got back into it after a couple year layoff.
I’m 5’7" and 228. My % is probably around 23. My goal is to compete in the masters class next April. I know that I can do it, I just have to stay on the ball and stick to it all year long.
This site will keep me motivated and I’m sure that I will learn some more about the proper nutrition. I already have a good idea, but more knowledge can’t help.
New Very new, Read the site for months before I joined…Just looking for tips and advice…
30 years old, Been working my butt off for one year now, Really in shape but not looking hard like some of these people in year, But its my goal and hope I can hiy my goal…
Read it all.Well designed.Well said.I will abide.Im building myself up then into maintance I go.Its good to be around those who seek to better themselves and keep themselves better.I look forward to the experience for sure.
I just bought some of the german creatine and in the directions I do not understand what they mean by cold water that contains one or more insulinogenic ingredients, such as essential amino acids, branched-chain amino acids, whey isolate, or grape juice. Are there specific drinks that have these ingredients or do you have to add something such as L-Glutamine to the water?
I am new to weightlifting. I am 35 and weigh 240 lbs. I got disgusted with myself in April of this year. At that time I was 284 lbs. In just over 3 months I have lost 44 lbs. I mainly just cut out all sugar and simple carbs. I no longer consume calories through liquids. I drink 64 ozs of water a day. I may consume a diet soda if out to dinner with my wife and kids.
I decided I wanted to be someone my son could look up to in life. Instead of the fat dad on the block that everybody laughs at! My workouts right now consist mainly of dumbbells, push-ups, sit-ups and running. I have already found useful info on rhis website and I look forward to hearing all the good advice!

I would make sure that my diet is in order first, followed by a good hard training program, and lastly some HIIT.
Hi all, my name is Brads, I’m 23, from Blackpool, England and have been gyming it for about a year, but due to some of the naughty things I used to get up to Ive probably made less than 6 months progress, anyway, thats behind me now and I’m focusing on my workouts and all that comes with it.
I stubled across this site after it was recommended on another site, and it is the bollocks, looking forward to killing my eyes reading all the articles and forum discussions.
im 6,9 almost 7 foot 360 pounds and i’ve been going to the gym im looking for some big time improvement so that by this summer i can go to the beach and not feel self contious
I am horribly out of shape, and have been reading up on nutrition and training all over the internet for the past few weeks. About to start the training too!
I registered here because I found lot of helpful articles and the forum is just great.
Just a quick hello. I’m a fitness instructor, 35 from the UK. Discovered this site recently and have already found a ton of useful info from the articles here. It seems like the standard of knowledge and facilities in the UK is rather lagging behind you guys in the US!
Oh yeah, I’m also (shoot me now) a distance runner(!), but I enjoy my weights too.
