New PR's

Conventional deadlift: 166kg x 12, straps on last 5 reps.

350 for 10. Had more in me but waiting till next week to go past 10 reps.

585 for 2 reverse bands could have pulled for 4 or 5 but double my PR so Ill call it aday and re hit next week

240X1 one second pause moderate grip bench press

This is a 15 pound PR for me. I may have been good for 245, but I was flaring incredibly, and it was hurting my shoulders. Off to go attack my triceps, and starting strength for a couple months.

This week (“1” week of 5/3/1):

Bench - 220x5, 250x1
Front Squat - 220x5
Deadlift - 285x6
Press - 135x4

Slow and steady.

I’m dealing with some shoulder issues so I’m cutting out most upper body work for a bit. Good news is that I’ll be back to focusing on squats for awhile.

PR-wise, I did 145lb Overhead static holds with the “Basic Power Bar” for 5-12 seconds several times.

The “Basic Power Bar” = olympic bar with weights suspended from each side by chains; in this case a loading pin with 50lbs on each side. The slight swinging made these nice and challenging.

I started lifting this year in February.
During my martial arts time I did nothing except for Deadlifting and KB complexes + Bodyweight and gymnastics stuff
in 7 months I accomplished the following 1RMs
Deadlift from 220lb to 370lb
Low bar Squat from 100lb to 280lb
Bench from 0 (never benched before) to 210lb
DB Push Press from 20lb to 75lb

Gained 35 pounds during this time following the nutritional advice of Thibs and Dr. Layne Norton.
Fucking love you guys for putting out all the free info.

Incline Pressed 180x5 today, 5lbs PR over last time

Thanks guys, really appreciate it. Weighttraining has always been my cure to backpain. The docs told me I’d have my first prolapse at age 20 so I started Squatting and DLing 4-7 times a week to get that lower back strong. I heard that after a certain time you can’t DL and Squat every day anytime because of fatigue and overtrained spinae errectus. When will that possibly be?
Honestly I can’t afford hurting the same area for a second time. Would be thankful for some advice.

I personally squat once and deadlift once per week but I don’t see why you couldn’t do some sort of prehab work each day. I like doing back extension static holds, glute ham raises, reverse hypers, bird dogs, hip bridges are just a few.

squay-315x3 and 265x12
bench-195x13

405x6 deadlifts I thought I was gonna poop myself on that last rep

DAYYYUMMM

370 Bench with Titan Ram

Back in the game as of today. Lost like 8 pounds (178 now) out at Ft Knox. Pissed about this

Went to squat the other day and I probably lost about 50 lbs on my squat. Deadlift too. Pissed about this. Good news, I can run the two mile faster and my abs show better (as if I give a flying fuck).

Plan: Eat a lot. Yack if necessary. Repeat. Wish me luck
Glad to be back

Just don’t let your 2 mile go to shit especially if you just came in. Welcome back BTW.

405 Front Squat and 300 Behind the Neck Jerk. Videos in log.
