wtf reed? you are killing it lately. good shit.

T-Bar Rows: 180 for 6. New movement for me but I love it.
Cable rows: 57.5’s for 8
Preacher curls: 65 for 12

Nice workout after a week off

170X6 close grip 3 second pause press
180X10 snatch grip bent over row (with somewhat lose form)
60X9 neutral grip weighted pull up
185X20 shrug with 3 second hold

Some of today’s. The 170X6 was easier than last week’s 165X6.

3rd wk of 5/3/1 lifts…
Squat - 340 x 4
Press - 150 x 3
Deadlift - 465 x 1
Bench - 210 x 4

Going through my deload week and I’ll start it all over again on Monday. Increasing my weights, +5 lbs on the Bench and Press, +10 lbs on the Squat. Think I’ll keep the deadlift where it is though.

Does a back-tuck count as a PR? If so, I just tried them out yesterday and nailed it. Pretty stoked about that.

365lbs Deadlift for 10. Reset after each Rep. No straps.

This was the last set of day following the Ortmeyer Deadlift Routine.

Have video but wont upload will try again later.

Tell me, exactly how many minutes did it take you to get back up after gasping for air? ALso, was it double over hand, hook, or mixed? I plan to hit around a 315X10 next cycle with my sumo deadlift (mixed grip of course) as rep work :).

Screw deadlifts for reps, ya’ll are nuts. Also, psyched outa my mind because I just got a job where I can eat before and after any shifts I have, unlimited portions. I’ll be back here soon

Bench
200 x 1 x 5
200 x 2 x 3

Was going for 3 x 5, but technically a PR

"I'm Going Slightly Mad" - Queen Remastered Widescreen - YouTube Crazy you say? It is an assistance exercise for my squat, but I may be getting stronger at it than conventional, so I may do conventional instead depending on how my maxes/weaknesses are when I test. Glutes for deadlifts is what I can tell, shit ton of ab work for both, and training the upper back with snatch grip deadlifts/front squats a lot along with working good mornings in more.

Probably hamstrings/abs/hips and starting strength for squat, you can never be too strong in those areas.

Kristi pulling 185lbs. A 5lbs PR after 2 months of no deadlifting at 130lbs bodyweight.

Can’t get video to load. So here is a link to it on facebook.

This seems fitting for the inaugural post, indeed!

I’ve been on the 5/3/1 program for six cycles thus far and my PR’s stand at:

160x5 military press (praise the weight gods!)
235x2 bench press
325x3 deadlift (My best friend and training partner hit eight reps because he’s a mutant)
300x4 squat.

I’m twenty-four years old, making a sharp turn to twenty-five, and as previously stated I’ve only been under the barbell for six months. It’s been life-altering thus far and I eagerly await the next six months!

I’ve been lurking at T-Nation for some time but finally felt the time was right to engage and converse with others who love the strain as much as I.

Cheers ladies and gents!

365lbs + Red Mini Bands 16in Front Squat for a triple. Did these just to try and feel a super heavy weight in the rack position.

635lbs Rack Pull. Done 1 in above my Knee Cap. Did these as well at the very end of my session because some one said I was lying that I could Rack Pull 600… so I shut him up by 35lbs and out pulled him by just over a 100lbs at 20lbs lighter than his ass. Literally after Front Squats, Step Ups, Weight Hyper Extensions, and 3 super sets of Pull Throughs and Weighted Sit ups. So I felt pretty good and pretty sad for him.

280lbs 10in Log Press. 10lbs PR. I think its actually harder to press it without cleaning it because no matter how hard you try your hands are not in the best position for pressing it.

T bar rows 200 for 8. Pretty good PR for me. Also lat pulldowns 265 for 6 and standing curls 80 for ten.

205X1 competition pause bench
335X1 conventional deadlift, I was just burnt out mentally, physically, and emotionally at this time, and my lower back was giving angry warning signs whenever I tried to pull anything heavier

Tested my lifts today, my squat wasn’t up for it today…

Anyway, I found my weak points. Low back and abs for deadlift, speed out of the hole for squat and losing back tightness (not enough to fall forward or anything but I feel like I was wasting a lot of energy) and triceps for bench. I could use some work on speed/ train those small atrophied shriveled up muscles on my torso called pecs. These were all done at a body weight of 147 (as weighed today)
