My wife hates sleepovers but she’s working tonight so I have three extra boys until tomorrow. Plenty of snacks, sodas and no bedtime. Boys are easy to keep happy.

Nice work and it reads like the mile was a ton of fun.

Thanks GV. The run was fun in a twisted way that people in this forum would enjoy.

semi-sumo deads 135x5 185x5 225x5 260x5 300x5 340x5 380x3 420x1 315x5
t-handle swings 120x10,11,12,13,14
regular and clean grip deads 315 x several sets x 3 (did these while my oldest worked out)

1/2 mile jog with my oldest son

My knees and hips were a little achy today so I did all the deads double overhand and without a belt. So I couldn’t go to heavy.

As I’ve said before, I wish I could be weak like you…

Don’t think I didn’t notice the 250x18 on bench, a little higher up.

You seem familiar sir. Think I remember a guy who MP 315 that reminds me of you.

Trying to get my beach body so the food consumption is less so the numbers are dropping but that’s ok. Well that’s what I tell myself.

I’d damn sure need a belt for those deads. Looks like a good session.

One lift wonder…that’s me!

I hear you on the weight-loss. I’m afraid that this balloon has been inflated far too long, though. If I lost too much weight…well…let’s just say it wouldn’t be a pretty sight.
I’ll just live vicariously though you!

dbl overhand for the win
nice pulling indeed

Solid work all around NHLFTR. Hopefully winter is over in your neck of the woods.

Joe, something about lifting with just chalk is appealing to me. But I do find a belt helps with squats when my back gives me a hard time.
Dave, winter is finally over. Feb and March seemed to last forever. Still small patches of snow in shaded areas.
Kev, pulling double overhand was really kind to my hips and knees. Maybe finally get a monster grip.
Skip, good looks and an awesome MP…what else does anyone need?

Quick one tonight. Had to get my youngest to lacrosse and my oldest to three on three hockey. Funny thing is when I’m rushed like this I often have the best workouts. No frills and moving quickly gets the heart rate up.

1a. MP bar x 20 95x10 (working sets) 140x3 160x3 180x10 (joker sets) 200x3 220x3 (first set last) 140x20
1b. BW 8x5 (last 5 sets held legs straight out)
2. curls bar x 65

8 prowler pushes
6 hill sprints
wheelbarrow 225 lbs across the yard and back

My prowler makes the most god awful noise on the tar. Sounds like the front ski is screaming. I’m going to try some duct tape or something to try and quiet it down.

Sprints…sprints…oh yeah…I remember those! No! Just no!
I did about 50 billiondy of those in HS.

My boss and a vendor were talking about running a 5k, the other day. She asked me if I ran. After calming my nearing uncontrollable, internal laughter, I told her, “If you ever see me running, it means that you should be running too.”

Props on the cardio. It just means that you will be around to write my eulogy, instead of the other way around. And I’m okay with that.

I’ll be kicking dirt in your grave when you’re 101 hopefully.

No more jogging for me. It messes with my left knee. Now waiting for the mayweather/pacquiao fight to start.

Hockey season is over so I’ll be doing a lot more conditioning.

So is that semi sumo a la Coan?

Yep. Basically my squat stance. Seems to fit my build perfectly. This is a video I took sept 2012.

Awesome deads Steve. You really made that look easy!

You are built like a powerhouse. Damn you’re thick!

Thanks Skip. I’m built like a fire hydrant.

2. BNP 135x23 (no rest) front press 135x5
3. lawn mower db rows 60x15

Didn’t start this workout until 8:45 so I burned out after the benching and db rows. But I had to do one set of BNP because I like how it stretches my shoulders.

Nice work, Steve.

I googled the lawnmower rows…one knee and hand on a bench and row opposite?
