New Hampshire Lifter

I was going to deadlift tonight but decided to do some instinctual training (meaning I did whatever I felt like). I think I’ll be up for deadlifting tomorrow after a good night’s sleep.

5 rounds: no rest btw exercises and as little as needed between rounds

  1. stationary bike sprint 2nd level x 30 seconds (1st round did a minute and found it to long)
  2. Push press 135 x 10
  3. t-handle swing 53 x 15

It’s like free period at school.

Can’t believe you guys are still getting snow.

Hey Minim. I think the snow is done for this season. Time to work on my tan.

I wish we had a taste of your cool weather down here. It’s been about 90 degrees for the high temp the past week and more. I’m not ready for the heat but it looks like I have no choice. Florida seasons went right from kind-of-winter to summer in a flash.

4/11

  1. semi-sumo deadlifts 135x5 185x3 225x3 275x2 315x2 365x3 405x5 455x2 495x2
  2. t-handle swings 125x5x10
  3. ab rolls

My knees are having a hard time keeping up lately. Has anyone tried any suppliments that actually helped with joint pain. I may buy some glucosamine-chondroitin-msm.

Heat wave up here today. Got up to 53 degrees today. Very comfortable moving around outside.

4/12

Got outside. 63 degrees and sunny.

1a. 10 sets -1 clean and 5 or 10 presses
1b. box jumps
2. chin-ups / pull-ups 3 sets each (5 sets BWx5, 1 set BWx10)

I threw in a few lateral raises, over head carries and a hill sprint.

Got outside yesterday and did a little running around but nothing to mention.

4/14

squats barx5 135x5 185x5 225x5 315x5 225x5x20
deadlift 225x3 315xa bunch of sets

I was a low carb weakling tonight. 315 felt like a car on my back. So I dropped down and did reps. But on a positive I’ve lost 7.5 lbs in 8 days. Mission beach body is coming along nicely.

Solid work in here. Low carb does sap strength but it works for fat loss.

Sounds like the weight is dropping off dude. Keep up the effort its paying off.

Thanks Jack and Joe.

Brett, go easy on me. I’m old.

Pushed the prowler tonight with my oldest son. My conditioning has defintely improved.
Did some trap and back training at work today before lunch. Shrugs, rows, chins, curls.

2 hill sprints
1 mile walk/jog

I was going to do hill sprints for conditioning but after 2 sprints my son convinced me to go for a jog instead. Our road zig zags almost exactly 1 mile to the top. My wife picked us up at the top.

Is that ‘my wife picked us up in the car’ or ‘my wife picked us up off the floor’?

Nice work, pretty sure I couldn’t jog a mile downhill.

Thanks bro. Funny that even 10-15 lbs of weight loss makes chins noticably easier.
