Pumped for the season finale of The Walking Dead tonight. I’ve got so many series going right now it’s hard to keep up with them all. Thank goodness for the DVR, net flix and amazon prime.

Moving some serious squat weight, that’s a nice set with the 500 x 5.

Thanks GV. One of my many goals I may never reach is to squat 500x10.

Got outside and did some suitcase carries and waiters walks with a 70 lb db. After that I went for a walk/jog for a mile with my 15 year old which wasn’t pretty. Then we came home and did some sit-ups and push-ups. My left knee and shin did not like the jogging. And for 20 minutes I played lacrosse with my youngest son. Now I am glad to be stretched out in the recliner sipping a diet ginger ale.

Damn but your training always looks like fun.

Thanks Joe. Haven’t you heard what a fun guy I am.

Had a quick weight workout tonight. This only took like 20 minutes. Benched with my older son. I did a set of bench and bb rows to every one of his bench sets. I also loaded and unloaded after every set.

1a. bench barx20 95x10 135x5 185x5 225x5 275x5 315x3 365x1 225x15
1b. bb rows 135x5 b225x5b 275x7x5

Then we went directly outside and did some prowler sprints on the pavement. It was dark out so we could see sparks while we pushed. My son thought that was cool. I can’t lie I did too. High handles uphill x 20 yards then turn and push low handles downhill x 20 yards. This was the first time he’s pushed the thing. After 2 or 3 sets he says, ‘I feel queasy’.

5 sets x 40 yards x no added weight

Prowler sprints in the dark with your son sound like a lot of fun. Things must be warming up there. Hopefully the snow is over. My son is finishing his first year of college in New England. The weather has been a HUGE adjustment for my SoCal beach kid who thought a hoodie was a winter coat.

Hey PP. Hope your son has enjoyed his time in NE. Many New Hampshirites think a sweat shirt and shorts are winter clothes. My oldest wears shorts year round. But you’re correct that things are warming up here. It was 55 today. Felt great.

Hit the gym at work before lunch and did 3 sets of pulldowns, machine bench, leg curl, 2 sets of machine shld press, machine rows, chin-ups and 1 set of curls and pushdowns.

Pushed the prowler again tonight. My oldest said he injured his foot pushing the prowler last night and has been limping all day. So he can’t workout. Likely story.

High handles uphill 20 yards turn and 20 yards low handles.
2 x 50 lbs x 40 yards
3 x no weight x 40 yards

I wish I had a Prowler…everyone seems to enjoy their pain! Hope the boy is Okay Dokay! Have a great weekend, Steve.

I like mindless things that work. Like see hill, run up hill. See prowler, push prowler. I think the ‘injury’ was his way of not having to workout. He seemed fine to me. Have a happy Easter.

Lifted at work today. A lot of super sets. I knew today was going to be slow so I brought my workout clothes but forgot my shoes. So I had to workout in my work shoes. Looked like an old man. I was completely gassed after this.

squat machine - leg curl x 6 sets
lateral raise - machine MP x 3 sets
chin-ups - pulldowns to sternum x 3 sets
flyes - pushups x 3 sets
pushdowns - machine dips x 1 set
curls x 1 set

Fun with a prowler and work shoes make a man well rounded, nice.

Thanks GV. Just trying to get it done.

Pushed the prowler again tonight with my son then went for a half mile walk.

4/5

prowler pull / push 2 x 140 lbs x 40 yards, 3 x 90 lbs x 40 yards

Getting the equipment across the yard to the street I’ve been working out on then back into the garage is a workout in itself. Now I’m hydrating with coors light. Trying to watch my figure.

1 x 90 lbs x 30 yard high handles

3 sets of chin-ups/pull-ups/neutral grip, curls and pushdowns before lunch at work today

Low carbing it for the next 2 weeks. Today was day 1. My oldest and wife are doing it too. No beer or wine is what will get to me.

Dry as a desert Kevin. No booze. I feel sad just saying that.

I wanted to get some blood flowing but keep it low key. So I jumped rope in the garage not outside because it snowed last night and the driveway is all shitty. Yes I said it SNOWED last night. April freaking 8th and its still snowing. WTF.

500 jump ropes sets of 50-75

5 sets of light pulldowns x high reps
3 set of curls with just bar x high reps
