Thanks Kevin. I’m definitely liking the prowler.

20-30 sec rest btw sets a couple minutes btw groups

1b. bb rows 225x7x8, 225x10-5
2a. dips BWx5x10
2b. pulldowns 160x5xa bunch of reps
3a. str bar curls 65x3x15
3b. pushdowns 160x3x12

- deadlift warm-up, 275x5, 305x5, 345x10, 305x5, 275x5
- super-set three exercises
a. bowflex leg ext 160x3x10
b. powertec squats 225x3x10
c. trap bar deadlift 225x3x10 (high handles) - powertec calf raises 225xmax reps (partial reps after failure)
The super-set really had my quads burning. I tried to go slow with the leg ext and powertec squats. Trap bar deads were as fast as I could go because they burned so much.
thats allof of lactic acid.
nice work

Thanks Kevin. It did burn a little.

jumps in/out of tire super-set with push-ups
10 prowler sprints x 15 yards
Did this one with my youngest son.

1a. bench barx20,95x10,135x8,185x5,225x5,265x5,295x10,265x5,225x5
1b. bb rows 135x10,185x10,225x7x10
2a. MP 135x5x10
2b. pulldowns 160x5xmany reps
3a. straight bar curls 3 sets
3b. pudhdowns 3 sets
After a long day of working around the yard and house this workout wiped me out. The MPs were cleaned off the floor because my oldest was using the rack to bench. Both boys are kind of getting into it. I don’t want to push too much or it may scare them off.
Making a pullup bar outside with two 6x6s and (obviously) a pipe in between. I’ve got the boards cemented in the ground I just need to let the cement harden up for a couple days then get the bar up. Work some pullups into my conditioning.

Finished the outdoor chin-up bar. So I did like 50 chin-ups and thought I was going to call it a night. But when I came inside it was only 7 o’clock so I headed back out and pulled the prowler out.
5 rounds:
1a. 30 yard prowler push (3 with 85 lbs, 2 no weight)
1b. chin-ups BWx5

2. straight bar curls 65x30
prowler push 8 trips x 30 yards
Weights all felt heavy but pushes felt great.
Dave,I think I’ll have to work up to 40 yards.[/quote]
I should have added the qualifier that I almost always pushed relatively early in the morning when there was still dew on the ground. Prowler seems to glide across the wet grass much easier than dry.

Can’t see the video but sounds like fun with the prowler.

Screwed up what entry I attached the picture to. I just wanted to show a picture of my new pullup bar.

- front squats warm-up 225x5,265x5,295x5,265x5,225x5
2a. sldl 2’’ deficit 275x5x6
2b. powertec calf raise 315x5x10 - A couple prowler pushes and chin-ups.
6/26
6 (short) hill sprints
6 sets of chin/pull-ups
1.5 mile walk
I didn’t feel like dragging equipment out so I kept it basic.
6/28
Dragged some stuff outside and got some sun on my bald head. I tried to keep the time between sets to a minimum. My father-in-law came out and walked a 380 foot rectangle I measured off and kept me company.
1a. MP 1st rep cleaned 135 x 5 sets x 5-10 reps, 185 x 5 sets x 5-8 reps
1b. chin/pull-ups BW and +25lbs x 5-8 reps x 10 sets
2. prowler push +50 x 5 trips x 20 yards
3. prowler drag +140lbs x 1 trip x ~30 yards
Reading about all this prowler pushing and dragging it peaking my interest in getting one. I’ve wanted a prowler for a while so who knows.
I am envious of your outdoor - training
good work as ususal
GV, I need to push it a little more. Try to shrink my waist size a few inches.
Kevin, I’m sure you’d love this stuff. I thinking of doing at least half of my workouts outside for the summer. Rust-o-leum some of my weights and leave them outside.
I finally dusted off a couple stones.
6/30
Axle bar dealift 105x3,195x3,285x3,325x3,365x5,3,2,1
Stone lifts/carries x a lot of singles and short carries
A few sets of chin-ups
7/1
Prowler drags +140lbs
Stone Carries
A couple chin-up and t-handle swings
The main workout was getting another stone from my back hill to my workout area. I’m not sure if it was wearing a long sleeve shirt and sweat pants in 90 degree weather or that I killed myself yesterday but I was dead. I had to rest so many times. Afterwards I just sat and drank water after water. But after a soak in the pool I was back to normal.
Good work in here as always.
I would love to try the stone carries but have the feeling the result would likely be embarrassing myself.

Its surprising how different a barbell and stone of equal weight are to lift. I have a few stones btw 200-230 lbs that absolutely kill me lifting them for 1 rep. I’m not sure I could lift a 250 lb stone.
