New Hampshire Lifter

6/3

  1. 10 prowler pushes x 15 yards without weight
  2. 4 prowler pulls x 15 yards without weight
  3. 4 prowler pushes x 15 yards with 90 lbs
  4. 1 prowler pull x 300 feet

Prowler came in today. So I skipped front squats again. I feel fitter already.

Monster front squat. Enjoy the prowler, I haven’t used mine in a while and need to get back at it.

Thanks DB. You have any favorite prowler workouts?

Sorry nothing original. I measured out 40 yards and tried to see how many times I could go up and back with 45’s added on each side taking as much time as I needed between pushes. Once I worked up to being able to do eight 40 yard pushes I tried to cut my rest between pushes down. Best I ever did was a little under 13 minutes.

[/quote]Thanks. I’ll try the 40 yards. No way I’ll beat your 13 minutes.

6/4

1a. bowflex leg ext 5 sets x 15-25 reps
1b. leg curl 5 sets x 12 reps
3. front squat 135x5,185x5,225x5,275x5x5
4. sldl 2’’ deficit 315x5x3

Good night but I had to rush through this one. I find that limited time can make for intense workouts.

I like the limmited time too- keeps me on track
training is looking great.

build a ‘car port’ and fill it with gym shit.

Thanks Kevin. I’ll just keep dragging it inside for now. Good workout just doing that.

1a. MP barx20,95x8,135x5,155x5,185x3,225x2,185x5x5
1b. 135x5,5 225x5 275x3x5 225x5x5
2. straight bar curls 65x30

prowler push 8 trips x 30 yards

Weights all felt heavy but pushes felt great.

Dave,I think I’ll have to work up to 40 yards.

I should have added the qualifier that I almost always pushed relatively early in the morning when there was still dew on the ground. Prowler seems to glide across the wet grass much easier than dry.

I have a feeling wet or dry you’d kick ass pushing that thing. You look like you’re in great shape.

6/9

deadlifts 135x5,5,5 225x3,3 275x3 315x3 365x3 405x3 315x7x5

outdoors
1a. prowler push (grass) no weight x 5 x 30 yards, 5 x 15 yards
1b. hang cleans 135 x 5 x 8

Chores and practices gave me a half hour to deadlift. After I got all my chores done I got outside and did some conditioning. Now I need to add a little weight to the prowler.

That second session there looks particularly sucky. Nice work.

Thanks Joe. One of those hurts so good workouts.

6/10

Prowler no weight added on the grass for 6 trips of 100 feet.

Pushing this thing in the grass is tough. Well that’s what I’m telling myself so I don’t feel like a sissy not adding weight.

6/11

1a. bench barx20,95x8,135x8,185x8,225x8,275x8,285x8,295x8,305x3,315x3,305x3
1b. chin ups BW x 10 sets
2a. straight bar curls 3 sets
2b. pushdowns 3 sets

7 prowler pushes x 100 feet

I really cut down on rest time between sets. I hope to push the prowler again tomorrow night.

6/12

  1. 3 rounds 6 reps each 95 lbs
deadlift, SLDL, bb rows, hang cleans ,front squat ,push press ,back squat, GM

  2. 1 arm db clean and press superset with chin ups ladder up to 5 reps

It was raining out and I didn’t feel like getting wet so I did some complexes in the basement.

6/14

  1. super-set: slow, continuous tension, at least 45 seconds
    bowflex leg ext 100x20,160x15,18,18
    powertec squats 135x20, 225x15,15,15
  2. front squats 135x3,225x5x3,275x3x3
  3. super-set: sldl 2’’ deficit 315x5x3
    powertec xalf raise 225x5x10

After reading Meadows and Tate workouts I decided to try one super-set of partial rep, continuous tension, at least 45 sec sets. Really have to drop the weights for this type of stuff.

6/15

A bunch of weighted 15-30 yard prowler pulls and pushes.

that prowler is your new bff nice work
