trap bar farmers carry 225x3x75’, 315x3x75’, 405x2x75’, 495x2x75’
sled drag 1 set x 150’
Got outside for a little fun today. I complain about it every time but half of the work is getting the weights out of the basement and over to the workout area and then back inside. I’m going to rust-oleum a bunch of stuff and keep it outside.

Thought about a shed or just a locker to keep out of the weather but handy?

You’re right. Some kind of cheap plastic box/locker thing would work. But then how could I complain?

I chaperoned a trip to Boston yesterday with my youngest son’s seventh grade class. I walked for at least 5 miles and was on my feet most of the day. So my knees, hips and low back were actually achy today. But I needed to hit the weights.
The day after the trap bar carries my lats ached. Felt like I’d done a bunch of sets of pull-ups. Thought that was weird.

nice work[/quote]
I went too heavy with the trap bar carries. I think it drained my batteries for several days. Next time 315 for sets may be enough.
The second set of sprints I felt a pop in my right hamstring and instant pain. I was a little gimpy last night. Luckily it doesn’t hurt too much today. Just feels like a bruise. But I thought it wise to skip legs tonight.
NHLFTR- first time reply here. I was just reading over your log. Nice numbers, solid lifts.
Then I had to laugh, because I did the same thing to my right hammie doing sprints w/ a weight vest. Its been a lingering problem over the years. The last time I did the same thing I was over seas in 2010. I thought I had it licked though, this time around.
I’ve been trying band curls for high reps to help it along. What do you do for yours to get it back to “normal”.
Thanks Paul. I hope this isn’t a re-occurring issue.
Hey Wilson. I’ve never pulled a hamstring before. I’m just resting it and if something hurts I don’t do it. Maybe I’ll do some high rep stuff like you’ve recommended if need be.
1a. leg curl 7 sets x 10-15 reps
1b. leg ext 7 sets x 15-20 reps
1c. ab rolls BW x 7 x 5
2. front squats 135x5,185x5,225x5,275x5x5
3. sldl 2’’ deficit 135x3, 225x1 - pain in my right hamstring so I stopped
Front squats felt fast and light. My hamstring felt great with the light leg curls but not so great with the sldl.
What an awesome day. Sunny and 84 degrees. It felt great going for a walk. Hopefully the Bruins crush the Canadians tonight. Either way I’m drink beer to celebrate.
