Who ever told you spring was coming lied. It was 12 degrees this morning.

1a. paused db bench 50’sx2x10 100’sx5 120’sx14 100’sx5x8
1b. chin-ups BWx56 total reps
2. db curls 40’sx20
3. BW dips x20
4. trap bar shrugs 135x50
Most of my chin-ups were 5-6 reps but I did one set of 14. I thought that was ok for a 280 lb fat guy.

That’s way better than ok! Nice work there…
Great DB paused bench work and yes way better than OK on the chins.
Thanks guys.

super-set for 5 rounds:
sledgehammer swings x 30 swings
short hill sprint
pushed my son on his 4 wheeler up the hill once
This workout confirms I’m seriously out of shape.
Its snowing right now in Utah. Been snowing for at least 4 hours. too warm to stick to the streets, but an inch or 2 on the grass. It’s only 40 degrees.
That means that by wednesday you’ll get a 7 foot storm and it will be -10 out.

Enough is enough. Like everyone else I’m so sick of this winter. I need greater than 40 degree weather.

- powertec squats 315x30
This is the most I’ve deadlifted without a belt. My legs were numb after 25 reps on the powertec squats.
Serious pulling, even more impressive without a belt. Nice work.
I got my prowler from Black Widow Training Gear. Significantly cheaper than a lot of other spots and quality is solid, wish I had more of a chance to use it.
Great pulling! 30 reps on squats sounds hideous. My hat’s off.
Thanks DB. I’ll have to check Black Widow Training Gear. Just need to pay my taxes and then I’ll hopefully be buying a prowler.
Jack, it was on a squat machine but it still got hairy after 20 reps. The powertec machine gives me no back pain so I think I’ll be using it a lot.
Scored some free weights today. Now I can make two 150 lb dbs. So I’ll be keeping paused db bench press as a main movement for a while longer.

Awesome no belt pull Steve! and 30 reps of any squatting movement is ridiculous

Thanks Paul. I just can’t bring myself to put the belt back on after watching Paul Carter lift what he does without gear.

I always deadlift without a belt, I don’t like the way it feels when I setup. I feel restricted with a belt on. Pulling 600 now and set new goals on 700 and haven’t had issues yet… ![]()

Guys like you pulling so much without a belt tells me I don’t need to use one.

Taking 2-4 days off between workouts has been working well for me. I’d rather workout every other day but this work and family thing takes up all my time.

I actually had a productive warm-up today. No back pain or knee pain. Maybe there is something to this warm-up thing.
