New Hampshire Lifter

2/1

1a. Front squat 135x5,155x5,175x5,195x5,215x5,235x5
1b. Dips BWx6x10
2a. T bar swings 53x3x15
2b. Overhead squat barx3 sets (not sure you can call these ugly things OH squats)

I can’t even do OH squats with just the bar. Not sure if this is a problem.

Shoulder mobility is a difficult issue to deal with and overhead squats are not easy.

Losing mobility is a slow process. But one day you realize that you can’t touch your hands behind your back and can’t squat without pain.

1a. incline bench barx20,95x8,135x5,185x5,225x5,275x2,315x1,275x5x5
1b. BB rows 135x5,5 185x5,5 225x5,5 250x6x5

while watching superbowl (in between beers)
grippers
ab roll

I did about 2 hours of MarcPro EMS while watching the Super Snore and I did some t-handle swings prior to the game but I think you have me beat doing the grippers and ab work.

Looking good brother, nice incline work.

Thanks GV and OG. I’ve given up trying to stick to any routine until my boys hockey seasons are over in a month. My wife works 4 third shifts a week so I do all the practices, homework and most of the games. Wah, wah, wah. Thank you for listening.

Cleaned out a path on the workout side to do some farmers carries. 15 sec one way turn walk back.

cleans 135x2x3 155x3 185x10x1
deads 225x2,315x2,405x2,455x2,495x1,405x2,315x2
trap bar farmers carries 315x2x30 seconds

Solid work big fella. There’s nothing wrong with getting shit done on the fly when the time presents itself.

Wow, I like those farmer’s carries-great weight.

Thanks guys. Trying to keep up with you guys keeps me wanting to train harder and more often.

1a. dips BWx3x10 +25x5 +50x5 +75x5 +100x5 BWx25
1b. chin-ups BWx3x5 +25x3x5 BWx8,7
2a. 1 arm db ohp 70x3x6 (each arm)
2b. db curls 40’sx3x8

Dips and chins alternate well together. Walking Dead on tomorrow night. I can’t wait.

trap bar deads 135x5,185x5,225x5,275x5,315x5,365x5,425x5x5
squats 135x5,225x5,275x5,315x5,365x5

I squatted with my heels on 5 lb plates trying to help my ROM. My back was tighter than hell but no pain down my left leg. I’m happy with that. Now to get some real weight on my back.

2/14

1a. incline bench barx20,95x5,135x5,185x5,225x5,295x3x5,275x2x5

3a. chin ups BWx3x5

Good times, good times.

Fun in small doses. After a few nights I need a break.

Thanks Paul. You had enough of this never ending winter?

2/20

  1. squat warm up then 225x5x10 1 minute or less btw sets
    2a. paused db bench 50x10,70x8,90x5,120x6,100x5x5
    2b. chin ups BWx6,7,8,5,5,5,5,5,5

The heaviest set of dbs I can make are 120’s. I may need to buy 4 more 25’s.

2/22

cleans 135x3,155x3,175x3,195x3,225x1,245x0,0

I got really pissed how poorly my cleans were going so I abused myself with Dan John’s deadlift challenge.

deadlift 315x30x3 (90 total reps. 3 reps every minute for a half hour)

Sending warmer wishes from Cali Steve. Good to see the squats coming back.
That challenge sounds like a grinder. I read up on his push-up challenge as well. Tempting in a twisted way.
