On a totally irrelative side note my oldest son broke his collar bone Sunday night playing hockey. I felt so sorry for him he was in so much pain. But the people in the ER were great and he’s fairly comfortable now. We have an appointment tomorrow with the bone doctor.
420 was definitely a PR. It’s been 20 years since my bench has moved like this.
AWESOME X10 !!! Congrats Steve
Thanks OG. My bench has been stuck around 405-415 since I was 20. I need to take some of Paul’s advice and try not to grind every workout.
superset: bowflex leg ext 160x3x15
leg curl 75x3x15
ab rolls BWx3x15
trap bar deadlift (or is it dead/squat now?) 135x5,185x5,225x5,275x5,315x3,365x3,405x1,460x5,485x1,505x1,555x1,315x15
sldl 2’’ deficit 315x5x5
Absolutely no low back pain tonight. The warm up super set worked better for me than stretching. I wasn’t going to go heavy but I felt good and 505 flew up so I had to go heavier.
Love to see some video of the semi sumo, considering giving it a go as my conventional form sucks and full sumo seems to be stressing some old groin issues.
Hopefully your son heals quickly. Gaborik had surgery on his collarbone a few days ago and is hoping to get back before the Olympics which seems pretty optimistic to me.

Handled those deads like fly weight. High tech effective equipment like that should be in every gym. Mine looks quite similar.
Thanks GV. My grip gave out. I remember almost dropping the weight.
I’m doing a Bulgarian routine modified for powerlifting. It is difficult to get the mind around it at first but then adapting to it becomes easier. One thing I like about the program is the economy of time and movement. I need to incorporate dead lifting more to round out the training.
Thanks for posting the video. I’m definitely going to give them a try. Are the outside of your shines approximately on the rings when you set up or are they inside of them? Thanks, Dave

Yep. Right around there. It just feels comfortable.
