After I was warmed up I decided to try a couple light squats to see how the lower back felt. It was a little tight but I’m not discouraged. I just need to stretch more throughout the day.

Nice work Steve, stretching and foam rolling has helped me a lot…good luck

Good to here the back is progressing. I hate backs. The need a redesign.

Thanks guys. Not feeling it tonight. Hit the money sets only.

Do you use a lot of trap while you’re benching? I do. Hope the back keeps feeling better.

455 for 5 is a big “off day.” Great work.

GV, not sure if I use my traps when I bench. My low back is weird. I can sldl all day and not get an aching back but one set of squats and I’m in pain. Some kind of compression thing or something I guess. I should get it looked at I’m sure.

Jack, I ran out of gas after 405x10. I think this is when if I was in better condition I could have finished the workout.

Good day. Both boys had great hockey games and I was feeling good tonight. Now I’m having a few Molson Ices watching Monsters U with my youngest. Wife is working and my oldest is at a sleepover.

looks like a good session and sounded like a good night!

Looking strong here Steve. Those are big SLDL’s and OHP’s.
Snow shoveling cardio?

Thanks OP and OG. Keep meaning to stick a program but keep winging it.

Squeezed this one in between hockey games today. I’m not used to direct arm work. I was feeling all pumped up.

Nice goals.

Thanks GV.

6 sled sprints for approximately 20 yards

Planned on 10 but I’m way out of shape. Too many beers and wine lately.

This was a late one. I didn’t start until almost 11 last night. I don’t mind these late workouts but its real hard to fall asleep for a few hours afterwards.

I have the same effect with lifting late, it’s difficult to go to sleep for several hours. GABA has helped me combat the after training effect, as well as melatonin, chamomile-hops, and ashwagahanda but it still takes a while for the mind and body to find rest following heavy hefting.

Workout and get 3-4 hours of sleep or don’t workout and get 7-8.
