That hard road to adulthood…
How could you be so cruel! I never know what embarrasses mine either. Picking them up for things in my workout bathrobe is on the list. I didn’t even have to do it to one of them. I attempted to leave the house in my robe and the other three leapt up to protect the one I was going to embarrass. They don’t usually cooperate that well so I think I need to go out in my robe more often.

I may be on your kids’ side with this one. Bathrobe outside of house = embarrassment to family members.
My three year old would think it was neat or cool if I picked her up from day care school in a bathrobe but I know these times are limited.

If only we could all think like a three year old about these kind of things. Life would be much more enjoyable.

t-bar swings 53x4x10-15-25 (200 total)
preacher curl machine 70x15
One of my brother-in-laws gave me a cool preacher machine. Kind of like a nautilus but you have to add the plates. Now I can get some guns.
That is a lot of t-bar swongs.
Remember now that you are going to get jacked, suns out guns out.

Joe, sleeves are rolled up and guns are out.

3b. t-bar swings 53x5x15 - preacher curls 2 sets
Everything felt light. Worked up a good sweat though.
Hmm, getting tempted to use my weight throwing handle as a kettlebell.
Are T-bars swings for conditioning/prehab/dead assit./ or something else? If you and GV are doing them I may need to think seriously about adding them in.
Corr, I suggest you take the robe off before swinging. Get all caught up in the crotch region.
Jack, after reading some Dan John articles and seeing what GV was doing I decided to give the swinging thing a try. Right now I’m using it for conditioning but I want to try some heavier swings for strength at some point. See if I get more ‘pop’ in my cleans and deads.
Ive been meaning to do these on a regular basis myself…did you make your own Tbar as well?

I did make it myself. Cost under $20. Its too soon to tell if they’re doing anything for me. But Dan John raves about them.
I think T-Handle swings are one of the greatest lifting exercises I’ve tried. I learned about them through Dan John, I think, too. I always use the swings as a warm-up before any lifting and to me there is nothing better. Core strength is up, shoulders get worked, arms and grip warmed up, legs and lower back enervated, hell it’s a smorgasbord of T-Handle greatness!
If I take off the robe, other things might get caught in it! Plus what if the kids walk in. Maybe I’ll have to reconsider these…or buy a pair of workout shorts… ![]()
GV, t-handle greatness. Sounds catchy. Good name for a thread.
Corr, are you hung like a bull elephant? Maybe you should give up lifting and get into movies.

t-bar 53x250 total reps
I broke this up in 10,15,20 and one 30 rep chunks. The left side of my low back was killing. All knotted up.
250 swings in one session? Holy #!?%@#!
The handle has aircraft cable in place of chain…when it catches it hurts!
Anyway, it is basically a 2 handed weight for height swing, right? I can do that in a kilt, so I can probably do it in a robe…
Cormmhona, does your robe have your tartan on it? Then you could wear the robe to highland events.

Oh boy was I weak tonight. Didn’t feel bad or anything just weak. Can’t remember the last time I couldn’t rip 500 off the floor. It must be all the high rep t-bar swings I’ve been doing.
