My oldest bought a 335 lb Slater stone mold that I’ll probably make this weekend. I bought a couple 16’’ rims + tires I need to work on to fit on a bar for strongman deadlifts. More toys.

Made the stone today. I was unexpectedly called away on the last bag of cement. So I rushed the end. I can make it again if I need to.

  1. Reverse band deadlift 225,275,315,365,405,455x3 495,545,585x1
  2. Reverse band rows-deadlift combo 405x4x10 (5 rows-5 deadlift)
  3. Suit case carries 115x a few carries

It took 155 lbs for the bar to touch the ground. So there was a lot of help off the floor. My son worked up to 655 for a single with the bands.

1a. MP barx15 95,115,135,155x5 180x5x5
1b. Neutral grip chins BWx10 sets
2a. Bench- 2 ply benchdaddy 315x15, yellow slingshot 315x10, no assist 315x3
2b. Axle bar hang clean 105x5 125x2x5

I watch a lot of strongman videos on YouTube. They make the axle clean and press look so easy. I can pull the weight to the top of my stomach but cannot clean any kind of weight from my stomach to my neck. I’m not sure if I’m just weak or have no wrist mobility. So I’m practicing with very light weight.

The stone came out pretty good. But man it’s heavy. Not sure I’ll be lifting it anytime soon.

Sweet; looks like a Death Star.
Enjoy

Eric, it felt as heavy as the Death Star.

2. Stone lifts 170 lb, 230 lb, 240 lb, 335 lb

The 170 was easy. The 230 and 240 were heavy but doable. The new stone didn’t budge. I’ve got some work to do.

Happy Father’s Day. I hope everyone has had as good a day as I have. My wife bought me bird feeders, bird food and a bottle of makers mark. Some of my favorite things. My oldest bought me a 10’’ log that should be here tomorrow. He bought himself a loadable circus db. I want to make an area in the basement we can lift and load stones without destroying the place.

I haven’t done tire flips for a while. It took a few flips to get my rhythm down.

You’re gonna need a bigger house!..hope all is well with you and yours

Paul, funny you say that. I had to rearrange the basement tonight to make room. I may have to get rid of the pool table, couches and tv on the other side of the basement to expand.

Is that the kind you add l0 lb plates?

Mac, it is the loadable kind. Weird to lift with the fat handle and size of the ends. I had the hardest time with my left hand. Some kind of coordination thing.
