New Hampshire Lifter II

Nice work, Steve. Looking strong, as usual.

Hey, hey didn’t you read the sign? Do not encourage the Animals!

This guy, er animal, doesn’t need encouragement. Solid lifting here.

Thanks all. My oldest turned 17 today so of course we gave him a Buddy Capps texas deadlifting bar. Actually we gave it to him last night because we’d hidden it for almost a week and I couldn’t wait any longer. So as you can guess we deadlifted last night and today.

I haven’t posted it but my right elbow has lost a bunch of ROM and hurts like a bitch on both flexion and ext. I haven’t pressed since my last post. So I had it checked out and found I have quite a bit of arthritis. I’m scheduled to see an orthopedic surgeon on the 29th.

But on a bright note I can pull without pain so I’ve been deadlifting and flipping my tires a lot. I’m pulling conventional for a cycle or two.

6/3

45 total flips with my big tire
60 flips with my small tire

I looked online and my big tire weighs 550 brand new so with the wear I guess it around 500-525.

deadlift up to 500x2

Happy Birthday to your son. I am curious though as to what kind of big tire you have.

Thanks CL.

Not sure what my smaller tire is but I think it weighs around 350-400 lbs.

Wow! My big tire is probably the size of your little tire…lol

Please tell Kainan I said Happy Birthday! Nice present!

CL, you know what they say: big hands big tire. Or is it some tires are born that way.

What’s up Paul? I’ll let K know you wished him a happy birthday. He’ll like that. The bar is nice. I’ve only used on like it at the meet.

Paul, I just texted Kainen. He said, ā€œtell him I said thanksā€

god to see you that you were able to bench…Looking forward to seeing to you and Diesel Jr rock Lakeville in Aug.

Glad to see that the benching went well.

Does Kainen know about the meet yet?

Thanks guys. I told Kainen a bit ago. He’s hot/cold about the meet. There was a football meeting after school today. Kainen’s never played before. The coaches pulled him aside afterwards and were very encouraging. I guess the head coach said, ā€˜it’s about time you decided to play’.

Paul, I’m always beach body ready.

I was going to try squatting but Kainen wanted to deadlift, so…

deadlift 135,185,225,275,335x3 385x2 425x2x1 335x5x2
goblet squats 70x3x10

Oh…so Kainen has taken over the workout agenda?

What year is he going into?

Skip,it didn’t take much to get me not to squat. Kainen’s going to be a junior.

My elbow shut down the MP. But it felt great with everything else.

A junior?? Wow… He has got some real potential! Must be the great genes and example…

Yep I’ve got one that old Skip. He’s had his licence for over a year and has a job. Weird.

I mowed a path on the hill in my yard yesterday and tried my best to do something resembling a sprint. Since my oldest is going to play football this year I thought he should start doing sprints at least twice a week along with other conditioning. It’ll make double sessions more bearable.
