New Hampshire Lifter II

They’re good for overload work, lets you work some things a little harder than the grip strength would hold out for. It rends to be overused in training by most though.

I had mine for years before I figured out how to use them, they came free with something else I bought. Absolutely upped my rowing game.

Straps do take care of the grip and rotation issues that go with mixed grip. When I use them I do some kind of grip work afterwards.

36 rep box squats before you do 425 x 3. No slouching on bench either.

Thanks Mac. I’m trying not to slouch to much.

    2c. 140 lb keg carry x3 trips

I haven’t done carries in awhile. These weren’t to heavy but I worked up a decent sweat.

1b. 2 board bench: barx10 95x5 135x3 185x3 225x3 275x3 315x3 335x3 315x5

I loaded 365 on the bar for zerchers stepped out of the rack with it then stepped right back in and re-racked. Wasn’t happening tonight.

Those zerchers are looking good. 365 is a real amount attempt. Stop doing them since haven’t thrown the caber in a couple of years.

You’ve got some really strong elbow joints to load 365.

Are you using a regular bar, or thick bar?

I’ve watched some caber videos. Those look ridiculously hard.
I used a regular bar but wore elbow sleeves. So there wasn’t any real pain.

  1. sldl with snatch grip: barx10 135x5 185x5 225x5 275x3 315x3 365x3
  2. bb row-sldl combo: 245x5-5x3
  3. 140+200lb sandbags and 140+200lb kegs carries x 2 trips each

The 140s were easy but the 200 lb sandbag and keg really made it hard to breath.

Exactly why I was stuck at 140, and reverted to 100. But you’re strong enough to get that 200 onto your shoulder.

Hey Bro, I’m checking in after 21 days no posting.

I hope all is well back there.

Eric, thanks for checking in. I’m good. Just been laying low. Hope everything is going well with you.

I had more reps in me with the 445 but the sway of the cambered bar scarred me so I racked it. Then I headed outside to get ready for the 6-9 inches of snow we’re supposed to get.
