New Gym Sucks...

Here’s the situation…
Just changed to a new office in my company, their is a gym in the building…it has no free barbell weights, and dumbells up to 60 lbs, about a dozen machines (chest, legs, etc) 3 treadmills, 2 bikes. There is no other gym whithin walking distance.

Do you think I can have productive workouts in this type of gym?

“dumbells up to 60 lbs.”

Start reading everything you can find about Renegade Training by Coach Davies. You have more than enough to get started.

You can do a lot of 1 and a halves. Check into King’s work and Telle’s at T-mag. Pre-exhaust too.

If you go into the gym without a plan and wondering whether you or not you are gonna have a good workout, you don’t stand a chance of having a productive workout. Do your home work, get your mindset right, and you can make anything happen. Herc

depends on your goals. but i would say for most people who claim to be t-men or hard core, you can’t get good workouts at that gym. might be good for extra workouts though.

Get the fu_k outta there. I can just picture that “weightroom”…sends shivers down my spine.

The complex in which I live has a “gym” as well - which consists of one universal multigym and db’s up to 30lbs. However, when I’ve been too busy to make it to my regular training spot, this small gym has provided me with all that I’ve needed and more. Just rely on the 1.5’s and pre-exhaust that were mentioned before or train with complexes or bodyweight. In fact, I’ve probably had some of my best workouts in this gym (probably due to not many people using it, and usually choice of my own music!). Good luck.

me too. why bump?

For the OP: Are you sure there is not a better gym either by your home or office.

You can get s decent training session in there but not optimal. try and find a place around your house.

WEIRD
all the responses were made in 2002 and the posters join dates were all FEB 2003

WOW.scary

Postcount is fucked up too… I guess someone did a little too quick and dirty job when they fixed some stuff at the forums in Feb 2003, or some time later…
