New Gym Location in Phoenix

Update

Well the remodeling is well underway and should be done in a week or two. And then it’s just waiting for the equipment to arrive sometime in late May. I may also put up a website within the week.

I have a home gym, but would like to see a good commercial gym. The last gym I was in was Warrior?s gym. I thought it was pretty impressive. Let me know when you are up and running
Thx Pittbulll

Good News!

I live off Rural and Southern and right now i drive to Mountainside way the hell out in Chandler. Takes me 20 minutes to get there and its all freeway.

I will try to swing by the location this week and check it out. Be sure to update us when/if the website goes up.

Congrats man, you will do well there im sure.

Drove by and it looks like a great location. I like the name too.

Is the entrance going to be on the side with all of the doors, facing pep boys?

Looking foward to checking it out!

The entrance is going to be on the other side through the front glass door for suite 3.

damnit i could have used a good gym in my area. im on 25th ave and cactus in phoenix. this damn area has nothing but a ballys and la fitness. i need a hardcore gym where i can use chalk and they have a platform for deadlifts and power cleans.

Looks like I will be moving to Phoenix after 6 years in Asia/China. My new office is in downtown Phoenix so this is most likely where I will live. Is your gym anywhere near downtown - sorry but my geographical knowledge of Phoenix is nonexistent.

hope so - you will have another client.

Don’t mean to hijack this but can any of you Phoenix residents give me a hand on where I should look for a nice apartment close to downtown? To be a bit more specific an area that has nice shopping/entertainment/restaurants - you know all that yuppy stuff.

Good luck on the gym.

That’s what I was thinking so I built one with two platforms and chalk pans, lol.

I googled it and it came out to be 13 miles from the center of downtown. I guess your best bet is to just make the drive once and find out. It’s a striaght shot down the 10 which turns into the 202 when you get into Tempe. Then off on Mcclintock. However going during rush hour when everyone floods out of downtown is not something I recommend, unless maybe the HOV lane? Idk if it would be feasible right after work if that’s when you get your workout in because of the commuters.

Also they’re building a light rail station right on Apache and Mcclintock. So in the future, I belive 2008, you can ride it down and hop off right into our gym, real quick and easy.

Here’s a map of the location.

Also you might what to check out rent.com for apartments, it’s where I found mine.

Thanks Cezar and like i said - “goodluck”. I will see you at your gym sometime.

Any more word on dues or an expected opening date?

Also, will it be open 24hrs? I often end up lifting real late (1-2am)…

I will probably be the weakest/smallest guy in there, but i figure its the right environment to put myself in if i am serious about getting strong.

Don’t worry about that, that title belongs to me.

pankie, being out there, you’re shit outta luck.

gonta47, check out mark-taylor.com apartments in Scottsdale. Especially the one near “Martini Ranch” on Camelback/Scottsdale Road called “San Cabrilla.” Extremely yuppie/trendy with shopaholic hotties all over the place.

Drive, sic - you won’t be the smallest, you’ll be the most improved after you’ve joined. Think positive, folks!

Lol. I’ll have a hell of a lot of motivation to improve if I’m surrounded by you guys.

Called in today to get an update on when to expect the equipment and they said 7-8wks so that’s when we can open.

The dues are pretty much set, but i rather not post any numbers yet since they is a possibility things may change. I can tell you there will student discount and a greater military/police/fire discount on membership.

We’re not going to be 24hrs right now, but there will be an option to be a key member where you can come in anytime with your own key.

I will be coming from ABQ to PHX in May for a month. I was wondering if you are going to offer short term contracts or is everything long term? Either way the gym sounds great, good luck.

Update

Finally finishing up on the last of remodeling, about a week to go. And some of the equipment started arriveing, so far we got the reverse hyper, safely squat bar and barbells in. I also plan to put some time in on the website hopefully this week, it seriously needs work.

Looking forward.
