Hey folks, back from a string of TDY’s…Needless to say, with as often as I am gone, and the need for so much cardio in my job the AD may not be for me. I have been off of it since I quit posting in here…just so ya know…when I quit posting it is usually because I am sleeping in the dirt somewhere. Any way I have had to be off of the AD for a few weeks now due to the fact the the military does not make AD MRE’s.
Tight, I am into the idea of trying another diet that might be easier for me to stick to with the type of work I have to do, being gone alot and doing a ton of cardio…does anyone have any suggestions? I am still looking to cut for now, so please if anyone has any suggestions hit me up…
I’m with PRD here. Starting to plan my cut for the new year. The plan is to throw Jan & Feb at it - give it 100% and see if I can’t totally lean up. I’ve probably got 20lbs of fat to lose (hopefully without sacrificing much of the gains I’ve made). I think 2.5lbs per week is a pretty realistic goal.
I’ll look into the Zig Zag diet - plus any others I stumble across. I also plan to work out twice a day - maybe cardio before work, weights after (maybe mix of circuits etc). Take no prisoners!!

I’m back fellas. AD is in full affect. I have been on for a month now. Strength has increased, I am leaning out fairly well. I am working with SHELBY STARNES! He is currently my nutritionist and we have been making moves for the past 3 months. I am pursuing a fitness modeling career and am confident that I will make a splash in the water real soon. I have a couple of upcoming show/castings and am looking forward to my results with Shel.
I am currently eating less than 30g of carbs through the week (way less) and on Saturday nights Shelby has me doing 1 hr cheat meal. In the beginning I was doing “dirty cheating” and still do. If I crave something, I’M HAVING IT! I do want to eventually get into the 24 hr carb up, most likely start at night on Fri after training session w/iso pro and oats w/fruit or a GATORADE pwo. Than get a lil dirty in the AM with some bagels/muffins/or donuts. Than go to clean again and mix a bit of dirtier stuff but nothing too crazy.
I will prob do this when Shel and I are done and my comps are over.

I havn’t been on here tooo much either…over the last 6-12 months I got married, became a Biosignature Practitoner and a level 2 Strength Coach with the Poliquin Institute and also changed careers, leaving engineering and started personal training which was the best move I EVER made!
Working with Shelby ey…thats awesome, cuz he certainly seems to know his shit. Can I ask what your macro % looks like during the week in terms of fats and proteins?

One thing I found when low carb dieting and I got stuck, not losing ANY fat was that my protein was too high compared to fats and I began oxidising pro for fuel VERY well…this kept me stagnant for some time…upon which I switched to more fats and less pro and fat loss kicked into overdrive!
I am CURRENTLY having carbs again, whilst leaning out, keeping them at breafast and around training and low carbs the rest of the day…seems to be working well over the last few weeks but I am always keen to jump back on the AD for some reason and might if I get stuck.
Training - I am doing a German Body Comp program from hell and have never carried out anything this hard before…I have to REALLY prep mentally before each session - LOVE IT.
