it is hard to tell but from that angle it almost looks like you are doing a snatch grip deadlift, not that your hands are that far out but it looks like they could be closer to your hips more, it also might be that your strance is a little wide, forcing you to put your hands wider. like someone suggested read EC’s mastering the deadlift articles.
good job man

At the bottom of the lift, my forearms are tight againts my legs, but when i stand up they are out a little because my stance is kind of wide, but theres a reason for this. When im at the bottom if i put my stance any closer, my thighs bring up in my stomache and i find it hard to keep my lower back straight.
Good job dude. You deffinately could have done some more weight.
YEAH, but are you functional?
Obligatory question in every thread.
Well i DID use a belt… so i guess that takes away from my functionality. The chalk i used makes my hands less functional too, so i guess im nothing more than a big bluff. Sorry to dissapoint you guys.
PC, I’ve just got one thing to say …
WOW-ZA!!! (grin)
That was just incredible!!! You’re just hitting on all cylinders. Those are awesome number for lifting a little over a year.
Great job man, I wish I was doing that at 16. Impressive bench as well, keep up the good work. You could walk into a gym and put alot of 20 to earlier 30 yr olds to shame! Haha, good stuff man I’m impressed.
How are you size wise? Are you going for physique or strength in your lifting?

Being strong is cool, but im not a big fan of the powerlifer look. For this, i would have to say physique.

i had that comming.
Wow. You must have great genes. With proper training, you can lift 800 in a few years.

LOL i dunno bout that.
Dude nice work, you know your form is pretty damn rock solid, especially considering form usually goes right out the window with max effort lifts. I would say you would be good for 475 or so, but by that time your form would be suffering like most people at max weight. Not telling you to do this, I think keeping the form is better and just keep working hard. But what you show in the video is not what most people consider a 1 rm.
Nice work man! Since you’re more interested in the aesthetic side of things, what is your current training split like?

Im not doing a split, im just doing a single muscle per night, it’s similar to what Professor X is (or was, don’t quote me on this) doing. It usually goes in the order of chest, followed by legs, shoulders, biceps, triceps, and back on different days, with a few off days thrown in there.
Im usually in and out fairly quick, and i find i make much more progress this way compared to a split. I did do a split when i first started, though.

Trust me, my genes are nothing special. I just work really hard for what i have.
NICE!
You look older too.
BTW, I know it says you’ve been lifting for a year and 8 months, but have you been deadlifting consistently from the start if not how long has it taken you to get to that weight.
I ask because i’m 17 and about 180 or so and I just started DLing.
