with the “critique of the critic” and the rants on the prison articles (which I personally found interesting), I thought I’d share a couple topics I’d like to see in articles. Maybe if others do the same, we might see some of them actually in print.
- more academic articles on such things as what physiological processes caffeine goes through to help reduce bodyfat. I like a few old articles from Cy Willson like the thyroid handbook.
2)articles about certain foods. what properties they hold, and thier effect on the body. I’ve read a bit about sam graci (and for some reason i cannot think about him and not think about richard simmons at the same time)and I’ve tried greens+ before, but do these things actually have superproperties?

Cool, I’ll find someone who thinks the opposite and has the physique and educational background to back it up.
I remember on ‘balance television’ (not sure if this is broadcast in the states) there was a guy who ate twice a day, mostly banana’s and almond milk. They considered him an “expert.” I’d like to see tried and true ways to look good nekkid up against unconventional ways.
anyway, these are by no means well-thought out ideas, and i’d like to hear others.
I started a thread like this once, i even got pretty much everything i asked for aswell. Mainly because i think the articles were allready written as others wanted them ;).
I would like to see some form of column for supplements, drugs, trends in steroids… This is something thats been missing from T-Nation that seemed regular when i first came here. It might not be publicly acceptable but it is very interesting!! Sure, we have the locker rooms to replace these Q&A/readers question articles but no real supplement guy. Lots of noobs (myself) need some form education in this in one place.
I keep hearing about physical entrance tests for the military, cops, football camps and the like in forums. They are probably simple, but i dont know anything about them. Are there betters ways to train for them? Criticism of the tests?
I am not trying to start an arguement with this request, but i saw higher frequency training powerlifting program on eltelifts by an accomplished powerlifter after something pavel and louie simmons said. I am sure those guys have an interesting perspective, but getting them away from training to write for inet newbs is probably a very hard sell.
Something for people interested in training for triathlons. The sport allways comes up eventually, has a high endurance aspect but is brutal.
Can we have a community voted fortnight where we close down the forums so i can get some work done… and maybe train aswell?
And maybe an answer to my own question: I think it was Ian King who said using the same weight for each set is an outdated method for training. Maybe someone would address this for me?
=)
Good idea for a thread.
Too much bitching about what T-Nation is writing and not enough suggestions/request for subjects.
I’m with the steriod option. I love Shugart’s thailand/jarez (sp?) articles.
I remember back in the day, there seemed to be a lot more info on steriods like the constucting a steriod cycle, steriod for dummies and profiles and stuff. I’m not intereseted in taking any at this time in my lif, but i do find them really interesting.
