I love to watch you lift.
Way to go on that mile time! Someday I want to be like you.
Well it’s just my job to make sure that you stay optimistic =)
Congrats on the time, I read that you were disappointed about your last mile run in Greg’s log.
my suspicions were spot on. You are a fine looking woman with a great ass. you look strong to.
evening, sorry to be late to this thread, but the “Never Walk Alone” caught my eye, then saw it was by Mascherano.
I may have missed the reasons in the squillion thread pages but I take it you are a Liverpool fan and Javier (Mascherano) is a favourite? Good choice of team.
Now that King Kenny is back, and Fergie is nearly retiring, I can see domination of the English Premiership is on the horizon.
oh yes, good lifting too
strength AND endurance…you got it all!
Nutella: it does a booty GOOD!

I use kilos too because UK gyms measure that way (however, as a nation we have a foot in both camps. Most food is metric but we use miles and measure I height in feet and inches and weight in stones and pounds. Temperatures are metric… Drink cans are metric but beer is sold in pints.
Aussie / NZ is the same. But: don’t confuse a British pint with an American pint (where’d the rest of it get to???).
Your booty is looking fine, BTW. nutella ftw!!!
I recommend Manuka honey, too, if you can get it. Manuka is related to tea-tree and it has good antiseptic stuffs going on (dissolving 1tsp in your mouth and letting it coat your mouth / throat typically takes care of potential throat infections for me). And it tastes delicious:
Maschy: I heart your new videos. You look especially beautiful when you are laughing and having fun. Glad your shoulder didn’t set you back too much. I can’t believe it was 6 weeks. Time I fucking hate you. It flies.
Aw Kimba, thanks, and believe me you will! In fact, you’ll probably kill me in the mile, considering your long legs and lythe, atheltic build. You were built for speed!
Cocoa! Thanks mama, and you’re doing a great job - every time you post you put a smile on my face! So, thanks dahlin ![]()
Ha! Hey Ronan! Why thank you.
Hey Bluebrasil - welcome! And thanks for stopping in! What you have stumbled upon is my workout log (mostly full of random TMI and its associated commentary). But yeah, i am indeed a Liverpool fan, and Javier Mascherano is one of my favorite players. However, neither of these two are my absolute faves - just coincidently associated. I’m actually Argentinian myself and I follow the Argies about, so i’m not wedded to any of the leagues per se but I do watch EPL religiously (watching the l’pool vs arsenal match now) and EPL-wise I follow Man city, Spurs, Liverpool and while I despise them, i do like to keep an eye on Chelsea, also love watching Fulham. Of course, in la liga I follow barca. Anyone watch the Super Clasico?! Stunning.
And yeah, fergie needs to go, Man U is a mess as it is! Never liked them after the whole Tevez situ. Anyways…
Hey Mimsy! Thanks love. Strength and edurance is what I’m going for, so YAY!
Lo!! Lex - too funny re: the pint! And thank you. I feel a bit chunky lately. Baking that cake for the Oly fundraiser hasn’t helped either (more to come on that), but I’m working on getting my eats i order. And thanks for the honey rec!
Nadia, thank you
Its always nice to hear that you’re beautiful and more so when you’re laughing and being a doofus. HAH! I know! didn’t seem like 6 weeks, but it was. Insane.
I’m in the middle of doing my laundry, i’ll be back for workout and cake updates in a few!
Ta-da! Here’s the cake that I made for the fundraiser. It weighed 40lbs and was a bitch to carry. Essentially I did waiters walks all the way from my house to the gym! Go me! It slid around in the box though, and by the time I got to the gym, it was worse for wear. HAH! What else is new?
It took me a week in total to bake the layers - and then yesterday I did all the icing and the little marzapan figure.
Of course, every second I left the cake alone my cats would wreak havoc on it. The first instance one of them licked off half the icing, and in the second, once i was completely finished and the box closed, the other cat decided to sit top of the box. HAH! So the cake had to be fixed up several times and suffered some irreparable damage. lol! Whatever. It has that home-grown feel to it, no? I called it Artisanal.
Anyways, I didn’t get to eat the cake because, in the crazy way that life works, I wasn’t able to actually attend the fundraiser. As life would have it, on Friday i received a call from my real Father stating that he’s going to be in NYC for the weekend before he flies down to Miami and that he wanted to see me. Lol!
Of course, there was no choice in the matter - I haven’t seen my pops in a over a year (he lives in Europe) and when he comes to the states, he doesn’t come to NYC. He’s never even been to my apt since I moved out when I was 18! Needless to say, I dropped off my cake at the fundraiser, said my helloes and goodbyes and then went back home to meet my dad.
I felt really bad that i basically went to the gym just to drop off the cake and then scrammed, and I think Coach Joe was a pissed that I couldn’t stay for the banquet (I had already missed the lifting competition they held earlier that day). But what could I do? You can’t please ALL your daddies! Oh well.
Anyways, I’m glad I got to spend time with my dad - he like my apt and told me he was proud of me, and said that “despite not having much, you’re happy, and that’s all that matters” HAH! Oh dad…Then he took me to a fancy restaurant and we made time complaining about the noise level and the small portions.
Prosapia Primoris!
I was going to write my Friday training but I have to run!!! I have a game at 3 and I still need to pick up my laundry! ACK!
I’ll try to update when I get back from the game.
If we don’t win today I’m going to hari-kari myself (Goodbye cruel world!)
Oh Masch. I’m in awe of your talents. What a nice cake. I’m glad you got to see your father. And how could he not be proud of you? Good luck at your game. Win.

excellent, you being Argentinian, and me being the age I am, I can say without doubt, that that I think your country has produced the greatest footballer of all time in the shape of Diego Maradonna. And Messi isnt too shabby either.
Being Scottish there are no decent football teams here so Ive had to follow the English league. Liverpool and Nottingham Forest were the top teams when I was a kid, so I have a soft spot for them (plus due to Liverpools Dalglish/Souness/Hansen Scottish contingent of the 80’s and early 90’s of course)
and I kept an eye on El Clasico but just to see how the special one gets on
cheers
Wow Maschy you got some talent. There’s a Food Network show where Bobby Flay challenges bakers. I’ll submit your name =)
LMAO at the home-grown feel of the cake.
Your coach will understand about your daddy, that’s nice that he came to visit.
lol at your kitties sabotaging your cake. Little bastards!
oh wow, that is an awesome cake!!! rofl about one of your kitties licking the icing hahaha.
i’m glad your father told you he is proud of you. if he is anything like my father (or guys more generally) he doesn’t say stuff like that often… guys can be odd with thinking their actions tell you all that kind of stuff so they don’t actually need to say it… important for us women to hear, though. i’m sure he really is very proud of you, indeed. sure you will get many opportunities to accumulate stuff once you finish your PhD and get a whole bunch of job offers. harder to accumulate stuff in NY, than a lot of places in the US, too.
your coach might have been a bit sad that you couldn’t make the comp. he probably wants to inspire you to ditch the soccer and convert to oly lifting completely! pretty sure he wouldn’t have been pissed at you… but guess i don’t know. it really was awesome of you to put so much effort into baking and carrying that cake for them, though. i’m sure they would have appreciated that a great deal.
good luck for your game!!
Well Masch, you’ve not updated since before your game…I hope that’s because you were out celebrating all night, not because you lost ![]()
That’s great that you got to hang out with your dad for a while, glad you enjoyed it!
I imagine your coach understood you had to meet you’r dad.
And you bake cakes too?
Hope the game went well!
