Never Surrender

Yonkey- Nice work all around, man… inclines look good.

Good save Austin!

Funny about cardio, My phobia of it wont go away either.

Nice work Bro.

Hello gentlemen…and Mattyxl

ddot - no cardio is over, I just couldn’t go through with it. Now that i am not dieting, my mind set has totally changed. I am fat, full and happy. 3 days/week for 30 minutes feels like a warmup. lol.

oldgoat - thank you sir. You’re making it look easy.

Mattyxl - I saw some video of you flipping this big fucking tire, so whatever…
Oh yeah, i checked your hub, where did you steal the little girl? She’s adorable.

Thanks bro, shes my angel.

Im curious about the Smith machine rows…are you doing them to concentrate on a specific area and not using any momentum? Overhand griP?

solid work indeed.

cardio isnt that bad, not that I do much
other then not really resting while training,
and being active.

Its really good for recovery just saying.

All this Iowa black and gold talk makes me think of Dan Gable,
and competing against his machines.

Yes, no momentum. The fixed bar path allows me to focus better on stretch and contraction. I use an overhand grip, focusing on driving the elbows up. Stand on a plates or something if you need more range of motion in the smith machine.

last time i chewed my way up to 208. I do not want to diet for 17 weeks again next yr, so I am hoping to cut my bulk a little shorter and be leaner going into next yrs diet. I plan on bulking for approx the next 7 months. I should end up in the mid 190’s by the end of current bulk. The mirror will ultimately dictate.

notes - good day in the mines…
already thinking about next weeks leg session. Must kill it. Legs are a major priority for me. If anything I am looking to improve them the most over everything else in the next 10 months or so.
switched to a 4 day work week until Jan 1, 2012. Lots of free time for me and reggie. Speaking of Reggie, deaf dogs are awesome. I had no idea.

help me out “men of honor machine” ? Looks like inclines are moving up!

never had a deaf dog, but I swear mine have selective hearing…the same strategy I use with my wife!

Question on your leg workout: how come you put squats in the middle and calf work first, just curious?

it’s one of those elliptical trainers with the arm handles. the movement is similar to 1:14 on in the clip. this is how i felt during my last diet, while severely carb depleted and using this machine daily. lol

I put calves first because they suck worse than my legs. Trying to prioritize them by hitting them first. Squats in the middle mainly because, my right knee is totally reconstructed and my range of motion is crap until I am fully ready to go. My squat depth is much better due to knee and hips being ready to work.

8/4/11

Mr. Schnitzel,

Good work as per usual.

Are you pyramiding weight as well in those sets?

PS: 6 ways suck! In that ‘These are awesome!’ kinda sucks way.

Thanks, I saw you mention it as the grind the other day and I couldn’t agree more. Yah pyramiding the weight preceded by some light warmups.

No doubt about the 6 ways. I crushed them today… i used the blue weights instead of the pink ones. lol.

LOL @ Blue weights.

Yeah, it doesn’t take much to make those work. I’ve gotten to 15lb’s once. LOL

We got oursleves another bodybuilder! How the hell did I miss this?!?!?

Welcome. You are jacked.
